I recently relocated from Florida to Pennsylvania and have been job hunting. I have my resume posted on several job boards. I received an email from Lisa Johnson (??) stating that she saw my resume online and that she thought I would be a good fit for their company. We did a telephone interview, and once that interview was completed I was sent an offer letter. I filled out the offer letter as instructed and returned it to the company. Lisa then instructed me that I would start receiving shipments in approximately three business days. I received 17 shipments in a 3 week.period on behalf of this company and redirected them once I reported to the company I had received them and made sure they were not damaged. When it came time for compensation, she started to dodge my phone calls and emails. She originally informed me that she had requested my salary be paid by the sales department on 3/19. I was then told they were having internal system problems and I would be compensated on 3/20. When no compensation came on 3/20, I asked to speak to the Human Resources Manager that signed my paperwork. I received no reply. I was then informed by Lisa Johnson that they had everything straightened out by Friday 3/23 and was then informed it was too late in the day to be paid and I would be compensated on 3/26. When I was not compensated on 3/26, I knew something was terribly wrong so I called from an alternate phone number on 3/27 and she actually answered the phone and told me that this had never happened before and that I would be compensated on 4/2. I knew she was lying to me. She was very nervous on the phone once she answered and realized it was me. I have worked in the business world since I was 16 years old and I am still in total disbelief that this has occurred. I do not want to see this same situation happen to anyone else. It is very disheartening for a company to do this to anyone that depends on that paycheck. I hope that no one else gets scammed by this company like I did. Please be careful. Thank you.
