The scammer advertises a used tractor parts outlet on Facebook. I contacted them asking about a part for my backhoe. They said in FB messenger that they could ship the part for $150 including shipping. They requested the money via Zelle, an online pay system that my bank uses. I paid for the part using Zelle, to Tyla Evans with an account (phone number) of 708-743-2251. The next day I asked for shipping information. They sent me a link https://globalqualityshipping.com with a confirmation number of GQS075672671777-CARGO. It does open a shipping "confirmation" but it appears to be fake. The shipper contacted me telling me I had to pay for "insurance" coverage of $299 for my item to be delivered. I paid them using Zelle as well. Then a day later I got a long message from the shipper claiming I had to pay another $385 to get a document called a "City Permit" to clear customs and deliver the part that was supposedly in North Carolina. I explained I live in a very rural area of WI and there is not City permits required for a delivery here. They just keep telling me they won't deliver the part without the permit. I called the number they've been texting me from (202)710-1856 and got some Asian sounding person on the phone that spoke very broken English. I'm pretty sure I got scammed.
