Had a dicks sporting goods gift card I didn’t need wanted to see if I could get cash in exchange for gift card came across this site they offered me 88% of the gift card which was $93.22 the gift card had $105.93.

So I thought it was a good deal enter all information 8/29/25. Email for support come back retired and the message never get replied too. Check the gift card amount on 9/2/25 it has a zero balance

I noticed a charge on my bank account for $29.99 and did not recognize it, so I looked farther back and saw 2 more charges. Charges occurred in January, February and March. I don't know who they are or what they sell and to the best of my knowledge, I have never ordered anything from them.

This was a Facebook ad that appeared to be Dicks that I ordered a pair of shoes. Money was taken from my bank account but shoes were never delivered. Tracking shows they were. It has been over 30 days. So far no additional money has been taken from my account.

Used a well known company name to sell a cheap and affordable riding lawnmower. Then upon later inspection, said website disappeared with only the email and website address names as remnant

I did a FaceBook search for auto parts looking for a cover for a pick up bed. I contacted this company through FB Messenger. They sent pictures and we agreed on a price. I asked if they took Venmo and they said yes. They sent an invoice that didn't look very professional, and the Venmo name they provided didn't jive, so I became suspicious. The Venmo information they sent was this: @tammy-brown-705, last 4: 8727. I did a Google search on the company and found a company by that name in Worcester, MA. I called the number and asked for Tammy Brown. They didn't know who that was. I told them I was buying a bed cover from them and they said they didn't sell online, only in person. They asked if I found them on FaceBook and they said that someone had created a fake FB page. They only sell auto parts in person, not online.
