On Nov 5, 2024, I contacted @torontobeauty_academy on Instagram about a body contour training that was being advertised done in Edmonton on Saturday November 30, 2024 for $999.00. I got a reply that there is as one last opening and the intake form was sent to me to fill out, which I did. The same day I received a phone call from a lady called Kadi who claimed to be one of the owners of the business. She explained about the training and the lifelong mentorship with Toronto Beauty Academy. After the conversation I deposited $500.00 and a receipt was sent to my email. She texted me on WhatsApp on this number and said it was her personal number (647-901-5053) to be reached at as sometimes calls are missed on their other number. I did not hear from Kadi or Toronto Beauty Academy with any updates about location and times for the training since that day. On November 26, 2024, I reached out to them via Instagram asking about updates on location and time for the training. I received a reply on November 27, 2024 saying that confirmation about location and time will be sent out through email. On November 28, 2024, I received a correspondence from them via Instagram asking if I had a model for the training, I replied that I did not and they said not to worry, a model will be provided. They also stated that they were waiting for one student to confirm attendance and will get back to me. On November 29, 2024 I contacted them again about the location and time.I did not receive any reply. I contacted them the day of the training November 30th 2024 at 1:07am stating that I had still not received any correspondence about location or time for the training and I got no reply. At 9:39am I received a message on WhatsApp from Kadi stating that she lost her sister. She claimed that an email was sent stating that the training was postponed for the week of December 15, 2024. I replied offering my condolences and stated that no email was sent to me and I was not available for the new date and will appreciate my refund. Since then I have not heard from Toronto Beauty Academy or from Kadi. I have contacted them on both WhatsApp and Instagram through messages and calls and have been ignored.

The HST tax account number where the pay was made is #********* according to the receipt sent to me.

Please be beware, they have a lot pictures on their Instagram account looking genuine, with them offering trainings all over the world, they will even call you. Once ur payment is made, you will not hear from them again.

I took 3 course thinking her business was legal and she is just a scammer with no certifications and my certificates she provided are fake and now I need to redo them all. She advertises classes in various countries like Jamaica, Barbados Antigua and the States so we all believe she is a real academy.

ROLAND KANU UKWUOMA and KADIATOU KADER BOIRO have been stealing money from myself and many other persons here in Canada,Bahamas, Trinidad, Jamaica, Antigua with a fake business called Toronto Beauty Academy. Kadiatou advertises these training in the beauty industry and providing certification although knowing she has no certification to be training or certifying persons in the beauty industry. They just registered a number corporation in November 2023 and have been running the business from back in 2020 and refusing to provide receipts. She collects upwards of $4000 USD for these training courses. All the students who have done her training basically got a fake certification and have not received any proof of payment. Please assist me in letting others know about this fake business.
