Strictly Media reached out to ***** **** ******* *** (and other nonprofits) under the pretense that they sell paid media in Times Square NYC, at a discounted rate. After initial conversations, *** *** (and other nonprofits) moved forward with the paid advertising activations that were slated during the 2024 end of year time period, a peak fundraising time for nonprofits. Our ads were supposed to run from 12/20-1/4, however we received no written confirmation or photo proof that the ads were live. The Strictly Media founder/rep, Nicholas Natchov, requested pre-payment for these campaigns under the pretense that he needed the funds to secure the ad placements. Nicholas continued the charade after we paid and supported our internal team on the creative production process. From 12/23 onwards, Nicholas stopped communications over email and only his colleague mentioned the Strictly Media office was closed until 1/7. On 1/9, we were finally able to reach him by telephone and he mentioned he hadn't read our emails but will get back to us on ad performance reporting. 3 business days went by again until he finally responded over email after we notified him that he was in breach of contract and that our legal counsel would get involved. He finally admitted none of our ads ran and promised a refund of the total campaign costs but has yet to complete the wire transfer. Unfortunately, other nonprofits have fallen to the same scam and I am writing this claim to warn others. The fact that he is reaching out to nonprofits under false pretenses is completely unjust and indefensible.
