Online Purchase - Brightbuy Reports & Reviews (3)

The product was not as advertised. It was supposed to be an engine model you can build from parts. It was a hunk of spray painted plastic. Total scam and they won’t honor their own refund policy unless you pay to ship the pile of crap back to China at your own expense, which is more than the cost of the item. They know this, of course, so they are just stealing your money.

Purchased a metal buildable scale model of a car engine as a gift for my gearhead brother. Model was supposed to be a working model upon completion (in that the pulleys would turn and pistons would move up and down, and probably not much else, but the fun was in the building of it). I received a plastic/resin cast of a poorly made engine (1 piece) that looked like a 2nd rader had made it in art class. It was NOT a model, but a figurine. Additionally, it was broken upon receipt. Definitely a scam. 1st picture is what I thought I was ordering. following pictures are what I received.

- Cape Coral, FL, USA

I purchased 3 tunics from Brightbuy that advertises an address in Georgia, US. The stated return policy was "We stand by the quality of our products. Each item comes with a 7-day satisfaction warranty from the time of arrival. Please remember to keep the original packaging that your order came in for returns, replacements, or exchanges."

When the goods arrived (from China) they did not fit. The body was too small and the arms down to my knees. I had ordered the largest size they carried - 3X. Per instructions in the delivery I contacted them by e-mail and asked to return the goods as I was within 7 day period. They responded saying they would give me a 15% discount if I kept the goods. I replied "that's not going to do me any good because the items don't fit." They responded offering a 30% discount. I again refused. They responded with a "final offer" of 40% discount but if I wanted to return the goods I should send them to R2A Royal city, Thanh Xuan district, Ha Noi city, Viet Nam Zip Code: 10000 and return to any other address would not result in a refund even though they advertised their US address as "BrightBuy, 770 Walnut Creek Drive NW Lilburn, GA 30047." They did not provide an RMA or any tracking that would identify my goods when they allegedly arrived in Vietnam.

I searched for the Vietnam address on Google Maps and Google indicates the facility is "permanently closed." I replied to their e-mail pointing out my finding on Google and they responded with "many people have returned items to that address with no problem. Just bring to the post office and send us a copy of the shipping label." I wasn't going to fall down that rabbit hole and instead reported the scam to my credit card company. I am awaiting their decision.

In the meantime I have received three additional e-mails from them saying "Dear our valued customer. This is Hena, a customer support representative, contacting you about your order for the tunic you wrote to us a few days ago. I have replied to your email, but haven't heard back from you. Therefore, I am writing this email as a final attempt to reach you. I appreciate you letting me know about your negative experience. We strive to ensure every customer is satisfied with our business, and I apologize for any way in which we may have inconvenienced you.

Please understand that many of our customers have successfully returned products to that address without any issues. You only need to bring the product to your local post office and provide the address, they will handle the shipment without any problems. Once the return is completed, kindly send us a picture of the return label to demonstrate that the product was sent to our warehouse address. We will then process a full refund to the account you used when placing the order. Thank you for your understanding of our policy."

I have to believe they have been through the process of having to deal with credit card disputes and they are setting themselves up to say "we offered a return." The best thing you can do is not purchase from them in the first place.
