This website states they are located in Santa Ana, CA provides you different numbers from Michigan and other side of the country to Zelle, never picks up, requests you deposit before you see your kitten before and even when you send a deposit, they ask you to pay in full before seeing the kitten. The contract for health they provide is just a word doc and address if provided is just a cross street.

I inquired at the site of “Bengal Kittens Haven” and inquiring about a kitten that I saw on the webpage. The lady (Sarah Gonatas) was very accommodating we chatted via email and it was the cat that I really was looking for and so I paid her for it online through Zelle $850. She sent pictures and video’s of the cat. She said that was paid in full including transportation of the cat to my door. She said she would make all the arrangements and contact me the next day, and she did.

Which was today, 4/16/24. She said she had it all registered and ready to go and that I would hear from the HTTPS//Premium ExpressCarrier.com, A little later I heard from the service and they said that they were all set. They were at the airport and ready to go. They told me an ETA and that was it. They said that I could check in anytime and get information on where they are and how it’s going. A few minutes later, I got another email from that service telling me that the vet there does not think that the kitten should go in the crate that we had for him originally, they think that they’re gonna be in the air a little longer than they were supposed to be because the storms, that they were going to need him to be in a climate control crate. And I would need to rent it and it’s $2500 to rent for the trip I would pay for it. They would use it and they would pay me back when they got here. I said it’s sounds a little strange because if that’s the case then why don’t you just use it? Why is there any money involved if you’re gonna give it back to me? I said this is starting to sound a little fishy all of a sudden they got nasty. They wanted me to pay them in Zelle, so that they can get the cat on the plane at that time. They told me that they needed it in Zelle I said well I don’t have the cash I said, can I pay by credit card and they said no, If you need to use a credit card you can go to Walmart and buy gift cards and send us the gift cards And that’s when I knew for sure. I looked up the site because I wanted to contact the original lady and the site was gone so I looked at my phone. I found it. I contacted her. She didn’t answer me and I told her that I found out what’s going on and with the $850 I hope she saves it because she’ll probably need it for her bail money . I have not heard from her again. I never heard from the service again travel service after telling me to buy GCs. I looked up on “been verified” site and I found that the name she gave me was an alias and she has about 12 aliases. She also has about 12 alias email addresses. I looked up her Address that she gave me and it’s owned by somebody and it’s occupied by the owner and then I found out that she lives in Texas not in Arizona so there was just one thing after another and then I never heard from them again they took the site down like I said, but just now I looked again and there it is again so she’s gonna be looking to do the same thing all over again.

I had been following a Sphynx cat breeder who posted regularly on Instagram for several months called “sphynx.cat.home”. They had photos of the cats they had available and sold; along with photos of previous “happy customers.” When they posted a kitten I was interested in, I reached out and asked questions about the process of purchasing the cat, particularly because they were located out of state in Tempe, Arizona (address provided: 3037 Fairway Dr.). They told me the kitten’s vaccines were up to date and he was litter box trained. The price of the cat was $1,000 and the cost of shipping the cat was $200 if I didn’t want to pick him up in Arizona. They informed me what information I was going to need to provide: name, phone number, email, address, and closest airport. I asked them to email me the kitten contract with Sphynx breed certification which seemed legitimate. Once we signed the contract, they sent us an invoice which also seemed legitimate. They accepted money via: chime, zelle, cashapp, crypto, apple pay, etc. We agreed to send a deposit instead of the entire amount through zelle which was sent to a person named Ny’Avia Bennett. They sent us a signed transfer of ownership and let us know they were going to register him to be shipped the following day. All responses were prompt and communication seemed open so we had to suspicions YET. The following day they said we would be provided with a tracking number and airway bill. I questioned the airway bill and they said that I may need to pay an insurance, but that is was “refundable.” This is when I became worried because what insurance is REFUNDABLE? The gave me a tracking number and link for the cat from Purple Airways, which at a glance looks legitimate, but I couldn’t find any information on it or a contact number; even though it says it is registered with BBB, it isn’t. The next day I expected to find out travel dates, but didn’t receive an email from Purple Airways. When I notified the cat breeder, Karen-Ny’Avia, whatever fake name they gave me, I received a direct text from Purple Airways-right away! How do they have direct access to an airway company to get a call that quickly? Purple Airways requested an additional $1000 to insure the cat traveling, but that the insurance cost would be refunded after delivery. I immediately reviewed the documentation I received and checked the birthdate given for the cat and realized the posts of the cat I wanted were dated earlier than July 7. I inspected the photos of the cat and I realized that they were watermarked from another Instagram page. I went to that Instagram page and saw that the cat I was trying to adopt/purchase was originally posted in 2018! They were stolen photos! I was officially scammed! They stole my money, the bank won’t refund and I didn’t get my precious kitten. Don’t fall for this scam like I did. Don’t give any money upfront. Ask to Facetime the cat. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Such a bummer.

I tried to purchase an Abyssinian kitten from the website Sunshineabyssiniankittens.com, but after paying $900 (adoption fee plus $250 shipping and handing, I never received the kitten). I was told the kitten (Daisy) was put on a flight from Columbus, Ohio to Dallas, Texas to John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, California, using Ruan Logistics “Ruan”). But Ruan sent me an email saying that I had to rent an airline approved cat carrier for $1500, i(of which 98% would be refunded upon arrival at destination). I paid the money using CashApp to Marc Berger using account name $marcberger2, and she was “on the way to first stop”. Then I received an email from Ruan saying I had to purchase insurance for $2500 (of which 98% was refundable when she arrived). I told the seller I could not pay that much because of debit card weekly limit, so he “borrowed” $1000 to pay part, and we were told they would proceed. However, it took too long and Daisy missed the flight (last flight that day) and I was told she would catch the next flight in the am and be here at 8:35 am. Then around 1:30 am I received another email saying I had to pay $990 (of which 98% would be refunded upon receipt of cat) for food and boarding. I refused to pay and the seller (Frank Mashburn) eventually said he had borrowed some more money and Daisy would definitely arrive today. He said he would be in touch with arrival times, but I never heard back again and he is not responding to my messages. I now believe the whole thing was a scam. I’m trying to figure out how, because both websites are still up and running, they look completely legitimate.

The pet adoption fee for two kittens was $500.00 and after the adoption payment was paid, they then asked for another $500.00. When we questioned this, they threatened to not send the cats. calls and texts back and forth became threatening. We gave them many different options to remedy this and get her money back.

Tried to sell kittens on a website and wanted shipping and payment upfront. When asked if it was a scam, emailed photos that can be traced back to reddit, twitter, and facebook.

This site offers kittens at a low price. First, we signed a contract, after we paid for the kitten, then for shipping, and more and more. Finally, we didn't receive either a kitten and no money.

My son and I looked online for a kitten and saw how they were 30% off for the holidays. We reached out separately and asked for photos and video. They sent 4 photos and 1 short video. I then told them I wanted her and how to pay. We went through Venmo. I then waited a day to see how they plan on flying her. When I confirmed all the paperwork and information the carrier wanted to up charge me $1000 for a crate and I would be fully refunded. But they wouldn’t take my credit card. They wanted a bank transfer. I felt that was the first fishy thing and said no. Go with another carrier. Then I stated I wanted a refund. And he approached via text my son asking for money. Then I knew it was a scam.
