£7,000 and $56,000
I signed a contract with a 100% money back guarantee if they don't make book sales equivalent to 1.8% (or more) return on my investment of £7,000.
They did not sell even 1 book, but refused to pay the refund.
Instead they said they made a deal with 50 American bookstores to buy 20,000 copies of my book but I have several days to send them $56,000, which will make me a return of around $350,000 in just a few days.
They said they will print 13,000 copies via Amazon, because Amazon has a 13,000 books limit.
I have to pay $8 per book for the remaining 7,000 books.
They said the deal is either 20,000 copies or none and I have to give them the money within several days or lose the deal, because it has to hit the stores before Christmas.
This was a massive red flag.
So I called some of the bookstores in the list.
One of them said that they know nothing about me, or my book and they have most assuredly NOT made such an order.
I asked them to confirm this in writing, so I have it and can share as evidence.
When I called the other bookstore, there was an automated operator message that this number is linked to SCAMs and I was not connected.
I also called Amazon and they said - firstly they don't have a limit for 13,000 copies.
Also it is not possible for them to print my book at all, because for this to happen, they first need to have the book approved for external distribution, this takes time and requires this to be requested by us, then approved by them.
So clearly if I paid the $56,000 they would have gone to the deep pockets of Woodbridge publishers, and not for book printing.
Please help so other people don't get burned.
I would love to have my £7,000 back, but despite my numerous attempts to discuss with them, they keep promising they will call me or email me back, within 15 minutes, or by the end of the day, but this never happens.
Please note, my company is based in Wyoming and I notice we share the same registered office address.
But there is no other relation between our 2 companies, and the address is purely accidental.

Frontline Writers agent initiated contact @ my manuscript, stating they can do traditional publishing and made request to see manuscript. I sent it. After 2 or 3 days, agent sent response which appeared to be a form rejection and stated they would need to work on my writing as my writing supposedly were not up to their requirements. My writing needs no editing. After I responded that they had not read the manuscript, I received notes that they were a responsible business when they only wanted me to proscribe to their self-publishing program.
