Not sure what scam caregiry, but here’s what happened. I received a voicemail from 254-221-9912, who said her name(garbled) and that she was calling with the Office of Regional about a concern in McLennan County and that I needed to contact them or they had no choice but to go to my job and speak with my Supervisor. She left a different number to call back. I called 8443021286 and a man answered “Ben Gates”. I asked who he was and he responded, “Office of Regional”. He asked if he was speaking to ( my name) which he had caller ID to know that much. He said he was needing my DOB and last 4 of my Social. I refused and he said ok, I don’t need your last 4 #’s of your social, but need DOB. I told him that if he was representing McLennan Co., he should have more information about me than I do. He asked again if I was refusing and I told him that not only was I refusing but also reporting them and told him I would call McLennan Co myself. I did call County Clerk and records and they said it sounded like a scam to them and was glad I gave them no information.

A person by the name of Brendan Steele 3059854017 reported two pending allegations against the victim in the Miami-Dade county and instructed the victim to call the plaintiff with a case number to 844-218-7996 (*** *** *** ***) who persisted on getting payment information to clear the debt or consequence will be mandated by law if the phone call was disconnected. There was no verification of personal information, instead they asked the victim for personal information. They drew their own conclusions of how payment should be made without the victim's consent. When further questions were asked by the victim, they became defensive and redirected back to the payment to relieve the debt.
