Subject: Report of Fraudulent Activity and Scam Involving Taylor Talley

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to bring to your attention a serious matter involving fraudulent activity and scam operations conducted under the name of Taylor Talley, also known as backendsleepy on Instagram and TikTok. It has come to our attention that Taylor Talley has been engaging in fraudulent activities through various social media platforms including Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Instagram, and TikTok, where he is soliciting individuals to pay half of their rent using his purported bitcoin credit card.

I was one of the victims unfortunately and he stole from me a couple hundred dollars.

The modus operandi of Taylor Talley involves luring victims into sending him half of their rent payment via Zelle or Cash App with the promise of utilizing his bitcoin credit card to facilitate the payment. However, upon receiving the funds, Taylor Talley fails to uphold his end of the agreement and subsequently closes his social media accounts, leaving victims in financial distress.

Multiple reports and complaints have been filed against Taylor Talley by numerous victims who have fallen prey to his fraudulent schemes. This reprehensible behavior has caused financial harm and emotional distress to innocent individuals who placed their trust in Taylor Talley's false promises.

Given the severity and scale of this fraudulent activity, we urge Zelle to take immediate action to investigate and address the situation. In addition, we implore Zelle to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to facilitate a thorough investigation into Taylor Talley's criminal activities and to ensure that justice is served.

It is imperative that swift and decisive measures are taken to prevent further innocent individuals from falling victim to Taylor Talley's deceitful practices. We urge Zelle to provide assistance in identifying and apprehending Taylor Talley, and to take appropriate steps to safeguard the integrity of your platform and protect your users from such fraudulent activities.

We kindly request that Zelle takes this matter seriously and expedites the necessary actions to address this fraudulent activity. Your cooperation and prompt attention to this matter are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.

Sincerely,

The seller was advertising a set of Arlo Pro 2 security cameras for sale through the website, Offerup. The listing provided a number for contact along with specific instructions that payment was only accepted with Venmo or through Facebook. After making contact & setting up a Venmo account I sent the seller a total of $120. With the number provided the seller and I were in good communication until the following day when a tracking number wasn't given as promised. Then my suspicions were confirmed when the sellers Venmo account was inactive. Needless to say I never heard back or recieved my purchase. Then recently I was browsing on Offerup and noticed a set of cameras for sale and extremely low in price. Low enough it caught my attention. So I clicked and realized it was the exact same listing with the only difference being the sellers name, number & location. The new location however was not far from the recent. But other than listing description was exact. The scammer only wants payment through Venmo & Facebook is because it's instant & there is no investigation into the matter if a buyer files a complaint because they provide the financial exchange service between friends & family opposed to a business transaction where typically the buyer has insurance. Otherwise the seller would use Offerup's shipping services which requires the buyer receive the purchase first before the funds are released to the seller. But if you're scamming someone that isn't really an option. I alerted Offerup of the scam and my concern someone else could fall victim but nothing has materialized. I've included a current photo of the listing mentioned which is active at the moment.

I looked on offerup.com and there was a dirtbike that was being given away as long as I pay for shipping. The dirtbike was being sold from NOLA which is where I live, but when I inquired about it I was told it had to be shipped from Maryland. I sent the shipper (in maryland) my credit card information and they charged me $700 to ship the dirtbike to NOLA. They provided a tracking number and I received a package however it was not a full size dirtbike it was a Model or toy dirtbike. I feel as though they misrepresented the product to make me think that $700 was worth it and all I got was a toy.

Seller listed locally a Dark Blue 2003 Ford Ranger Edge 4WD, 119,000 miles, w/black tank cover, seller informs buyer to contact seller at [email protected]. Seller emails you that her husband died 5 months ago, she's in the Army in the medical field and training to go overseas and needs to sell the truck by 1/15/2020. She offers to let you test drive the truck for 5 days, then you can pay her through eBay invoice, she then forwards a fake invoice for the amount, but later changed her instructions that you have to buy eBay Gift Cards and place $200 on each card, mail it to her, then she'll transports the truck to you. She will ask for your name and eBay ID, (I never saw any direct notices from eBay when I looked at my eBay acct). Later on the app I noticed the same truck listed in another city, I contacted the seller (Sandra), and she provided me with the same email address as the listing I responded to.
