I came across something similar to this on my Facebook feed and was drawn in immediately due to very low Prices for north face brand clothing… I had to go to work and was trying to find this website again to make the purchase… while searching google this evening I came across this page… glad I found it before the scam I was about to fall into. I simply attempted to make an online purchase through an add I found on social media. The add was for North Face Outlet Store and they advertised great sales on last years close out items. I created an account and followed purchasing steps like a “normal” online purchase. It was until my bank sent me a text asking if I was attempting a purchase and that it could be fraudulent that I had any hesitation or concern. I confirmed with my bank and they approved payment. While this seemed odd I never thought twice about being concerned about something advertised on FB or IG. Once payment cleared and I hadn’t received any “normal” purchase, receipts or shipping info I became concerned. I immediately looked closer at their site and could see it was very simple and only had 1 form of contact. Needless to say I attempted contact, requesting a receipt and or shipping info and a week later still no response.

This North Face knock off scam came as a sponsored ad on my Instagram feed. Prices on the website were 80 to 90% off of retail. Was clued off after receiving the receipt of purchase that was in poor English. Had to end up canceling my debit card. Buyer beware!

An ad came up on Instagram promoting North Face gear up to 80% off. I found a great coat with a great price, and when I purchased the coat I suddenly realized that I was charged for shipping when the page advertised free shipping. I was given a tracking number through a third party payment provider and was able to track my package. When the package arrived, I discovered I had been sent a pair or glasses instead of the coat I ordered. Upon going back to the website, I discovered that there was no way to contact the company or return my item. They hadn't sent me a direct order confirmation from their own website or given me any way of reaching them.

I saw an ad on instagram for extremely discounted NorthFace merchandise. It took me to a randomly named website, which was different than the name listed in the ad. When I tried to checkout, it insisted that I create an account (rather than being able to finish as a guest). I assume this was so the fraudsters could snag commonly used login credentials. When I attempted to create an account, Apple blocked it as an unsecured webpage. After doing some research in the posted policies on the webpage, I realized it was a scam. There were misspelled words, awkward grammar, and they over explained their use for private information, almost as if they were justifying a need. No seller of merchandise should ever need a social security number.

This website came across my Instagram feed as a sponsored link, advertising North Face products 70-90% off. After scanning the website and looking over all of their stipulations, something simply did not seem right. I contacted a representative on North Face's website asking to verify their vendors, to which after sharing the link with the rep I was alerted that this is a scam.
