I googled American Airlines so I could call them to ask them about putting us in a later flight since the first flight was delayed 4 hours and we would surely miss our connection in Dallas. I swear I called direct to American Airlines but somehow the number was redirected to OrbTickets. Or the number listed for American Airlines was actually OrbTickets! They acted like they were American Airlines. Used my locator number and told me about flight options, the whole works. I believed I was speaking with American Airlines until they said they were sending an email to confirm information and the email came from Orb Tickets . They said I would have to pay $275 per person to get on a later flight. Even though my first flight was also American. I argued it wasn’t my fault the plane was late and I thought that since all flights were under American Airlines that they were responsible for placing me on the next best flight home. The operator argued that since the flights were not directly purchased from America (rather via Sky Scanner website) that we had to pay this fee $275 taxes per person. As I was stressed, I believed them. Then I realized I was about to be scammed when the email came from Orb.com. Also the lady started acting very demanding. So finally the charge was never made . I saw that we were automatically put on a later flight. Got in touch with American Airlines via their live chat option on their app. OrbTickets called me about 30 times though trying to confirm the charge so I blocked the number
