Type of a scam Online Purchase

We found a Facebook group with 500 followers that had toy poodle puppies for adoption/sale. The contact names were Erica Lovejoy (at times went by Lovejoy) and Tamara Danela Moore. After a lot of back and forth via Facebook messages and text messages with Erica (mobile number given was 720-295-0066) we decided to move forward with an initial payment of $650. We were set to travel and couldn't take delivery for a couple of weeks, which throughout that time Erica would send us pictures and videos of the puppy. On day of delivery we were promised at home delivery by 6PM that evening. The delivery service used as New Line Movers - which from what we could tell only exists as a website. Not only did they not deliver on the delivery day but every few hours a new 'emergency' would come up that required payment via Apple Cash to a different number than what was listed on the website. This occurred over several days with the tracking info showing us that the puppy was moving across the country. We never received the paperwork that was promised and the puppy never existed. As much as we should have seen all of the signs, they were very good at using the emotional aspect of a puppy to get more out of us.
