A young woman came to door asking for magazine subscriptions to local charities. The company's name is Nation's Top Sales, LLC, 1620 Chandler Road, Huntsville, AL 35801. She showed me a postcard that had some authorization for charity which seemed to be legitimate, however it did not contain her information and she explained that it was her supervisor's. After having donated a magazine subscription to a local children's hospital, I did research on this company and have seen nothing but scams and complaints about them. I placed a stop payment on the check I wrote and also mailed in a cancellation request per the receipt I was given by the saleswoman. I have read that this company does not comply with the cancellation requests and I will be contacting my financial institution to possibly change account numbers.
