I only received 2 of the three items I ordered. I've emailed quite a few times requesting the third item but have received only auto-responses. I really love the two products I've received but not receiving an item in the order I've been charged for is frustrating. I always get a quick response saying they'll look into it but no promise of sending a bag -and most importantly I have not received one of the bags I ordered. I'm bummed.

I got my tote in about 2 weeks here in Los Angeles, looks like it got held up in customs for a few days according to the website support. I thought that was nonsense because I got scammed ordering stuff online before but I will admit I was wrong so I posted here again to update what happened with my order.

It looks a lot better in person than it does on the website. At first I thought there was an issue because the bag I have has a hint of red in it but apparently because its full grain leather, the hide will look different on every bag. I absolutely love mine.

UPDATE: I placed an order on September 2nd, I didn't get a confirmation email or a shipping email and waited 10 days before I contacted the company again. The next day I was going to contact the company and my bag came in the mail! I absolutely love it!

Apparently, I input my email address incorrectly so that's why I didn't get any notifications. I have read the reviews on this site and it made me worried at first but I got my bag and I see others here now got it too. I gave them a chance and I'm so glad I did.

Checking back in with an update to my original complaint. (See below) I did finally receive my bag and like everyone else it is not completely as advertised, although not as bad as others. The bag smells terrible, the inner liner with all the pockets is too small for the bag and doesn’t lay correctly. It is advertised as cowhide on the website and on the invoice is listed as buffalo. Even though I received the bag, I still believe this company is operating a scam. My complaints to the BBB have gone unanswered by Montana Hudson. I am including a picture of my shipping invoice which includes the actual name of the company so when others are filing complaints with the BBB they will have the actual name of the company and an address. No where on the invoice does it say Montana Hudson. The exporter name is Creative Leather Arts In India and the Bill to company is ;

The smell will subside. It’s because we tan the leather organically, no harmful chemicals, ever. It’s better for the leather, the environment, and your purse will last forever.

To help with the smell, the product needs to be rubbed completely with vegetable or cooking oil using a paper towel and dried in the sun for a few hours. This should eliminate the smell entirely.

I got scammed out of a bag I paid for and never received. Just like everyone else, the unanswered emails and BS on responses here.
Here is the strange thing. There is now a company by the name of Weston Cole advertising handbags on Facebook. Exact same layout as Montana Hudson, including their history in California, shipping worldwide, the about us, the faq's, and the whole gambit on shipping, returns, and DHL delivery service. Everything copied completely from the Montana Hudson site. So, beware, there is a same snake with a different name just waiting to steal your money...

Like others, I wish I had reviews prior to purchasing. The bag I received was not as pictured (similar to below) and had a flaw on the front of the bag. After two weeks of emails, I was referred to a "specialist" who stopped responding when I asked for a refund. I'll file this on the Better Business Bureau site and will report them on Facebook as fraudulent.

I purchased a bag at the end of July, I received it on August 28 and was very disappointed and the quality was not what I expected. I sent requests for return information on August 29 (2), September 6 (3), September 10, 12, 14, and 17. The only thing they offer is 20% off of a future order. I want to return the bag and get my money back.

Under the Consumer Contracts regulations ( which came into force on 13/06/2014 and implement the Consumer Rights Directive)I am entitled to cancel my order at any time up to 14 days from the day I received the goods.

Please accept this email as my formal notification that I am cancelling my order and therefore will require a full refund.

Do not deal with this company - I just wish I had read some of these reviews before I purchased ( and never received) a handbag. I have had no luck in contacting them and only get computer generated emails when I ask to talk to a real person. I don’t know why Facebook let these crooks advertise on their site.

Item received is not item shown on website.

I ordered the Montana Hudson Vintage Eva Leather bag in dark brown. I received a different bag, nothing like the photo. The bag I received was a differnt color and smelled horribly. I have tried for three weeks to get some kind of refund authorization and address to sent back. So far, I have only received additional discount emails from Montana Hudson. Total Scam.

Bridget - have you received any resolution yet? My bag looks like the one you received. The only potential "maintenance" on this bag should be a quick spray to protect it. Although not terribly expensive, 140$ plus is still way too much for the product shipped.

Total scam! I have emailed them, they only responded once saying that they have escalated my concern to return the very ugly bag. It looks like vinyl, is not dark brown, but splotchy and not at all like the pictures the company Montana Hudson represented. I will report them as fraud to my credit company.

You should report them. I reported them to my bank and credit card company. First of all, their website stated an address that was the address of a post office in San Diego. I believe that address has been deleted. The bag is so ugly and yes, feels like vinyl and totally not worth the $140 something I paid for. I emailed them to cancel the order two days after I placed it but they never replied until the ugly bag arrived and so now, I’m stuck with it. It so ugly and it stinks!

Since it seems that "Sheryl Hudson" is answering on this website I thought I would try here for help. I ordered a bag yesterday and now after reading the endless negative reviews of this company and the products that have been received (when they are actually recieved) and the amount of time it takes to get your order (if it even comes at all) I would like to cancel my order. There is not even a place to view your order on their website. I emailed the support email and received an automated response which directed me to the unhelpful FAQs and to email them again if I want to cancel. My order number is MH20474 and I would like to cancel my order and receive confirmation from a human that my order has been canceled and they I will receive a full refund on my card. I am very unhappy as I have found a bag on amazon with IDENTICAL photos and reviews as the ones listed on the Montana Hudson website. After all my research it seems that this company is an absolute scam. AGAIN PLEASE CANCEL ORDER MH20474. If I do not receive a confirmation I will be filing a complaint with my bank to get my money back.

I still have not received any confirmation, I got one email saying they "escalated it to a specialist " who would look into it within the day, that was 3 days ago. This company needs to be shut down. They have not responded to (3) emails to return 2 bags that I purchased and do not like, the stain color is horrible and fake looking, does not match the pictures. The 30 day window to return is almost up and they refuse to respond. You can't return items without them responding to your email. It is a scam!

Order MH14183 - Just like everyone else here, I have received very poor quality product which came late and bears little resemblance to the item shown on the website. The bag is, as others describe, stiff and blotchy and the long leather strap pictured was missing. It arrived more than a month after having been ordered. And, like everyone else, I've waited and waited for someone to respond to requests for information delivery and then on the returns address. Instead of that I get an offer of a 10% discount and 20% off my next order which adds insult to injury. I'd say don't buy from this company who are essentially ripping people off.

MH 18231- I have sent emails on a daily basis for instruction to return an only get an automated response with no instructions. The bag is nothing like the photos on the website- the color is mottled and dry. The website promises 100% satisfaction and fully refundable if returned in 30 days. Please let me know the process to return the bag.

I am having the same issue as another post here. I have sent 6 emails and tried to call to return this bag. I finally got a response today - day 17 of the 30 days you have to return and they want pictures of my issues! I don't like the bag - it is cheap. And I want a refund and am not sending it to India. I specifically looked on the website before ordering to make sure they were in the US - the website indicates CA. Do not buy from this company. I have never had such difficulty returning something I bought on line. So very disappointed. Any suggestions welcome!

Sheryl thanks for response but you are stalling - I never said I didn't get what I ordered - I did. I don't like it, it is cheap. You cannot photograph that. I want a refund and am not paying to ship it back to India. There seems to be a bit of bait and switch going on with your website as nowhere do you indicate that a return would need to go back to India nor do you indicate that it will be this difficult to return. I am willing to pay the $15 restocking fee but not the shipping to India. Now, is Montana Hudson going to stand behind their product and proclamations or not? This is ridiculous!

Order number: MH-UK1102. Vintage Eva Leather Tote Bag (Dark Brown). Exceedingly disappointed with the bag as it is not as described- it is mottled black/brown and looks cheap. I have sent emails to Customer Services notifying them that I want to cancel my order (in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations) but have had a response saying I have no rights for a refund. I have asked for an address for returning the bag but have not received a reply.
