Ordered roughly two weeks ago. apart from spam email have not received an order number or confirmation of purchase. Yet they happily accepted the money. Have emailed asking for a refund! but not holding my breath

File a dispute with your CC company and they will help you get your refund. That is the best way to process this and ensure this company is not a scam. Also report to the BBB.

Montana Hudson is also operating under a company called S-Zone. They have a store on Amazon with the exact same pictures as on the Montana Hudson site. No one from customer service has bothered to reply to my cancellation request. I've reported them as fraud to my credit card company. I wished I had found this site before ordering.

Yes, that is true! The pictures they put on their website are the same as the ones from amazon reviews! And the amazon ones are much cheaper and they’re the exact same thing. This is fraud. Whatever Ms. Sheryl ‘Hudson’ (wow, same name as the company, too).

Hi everyone,
I am posting a review of my terrible experience of ordering a bag from Montana Hudson. The website told me it would be with me in about 10 days. In fact, the bag took 5 weeks to arrive from India, and during the time that I was waiting, I was unable to communicate directly with anyone from their customer services regarding its whereabouts. Everytime I sent an email, I just received a generic automated reply.
Although the bag is indeed leather, it has a cheap looking finish, unattractive handles and did not even come close to meeting my expectations of a premium bag.
I have now emailed their 'support' address 5 times requesting instructions for a refund. I have had zero response. I have tried calling them and completing their contact form - absolutely nothing in reply. There are no instructions on their website that make it possible to initiate a return for a refund without communicating with them first.
From the many similar experiences reported on here, I believe they are operating a scam and are blatantly withholding and stealing customers money. I plan to approach my Bank, file a complaint and request to have my money reimbursed. I also intend to report MH to various consumer fraud authorities as I want to see them closed down.

I ordered a bag (order MH12886) and it took so long to receive it (3 months) that I no longer need it. I have been trying to contact them to return it and have received no resolution. Phone calls are unanswered and emails are generically sent with no solutions. Company misrepresents the bags are coming out of CA, but they are from India. They claim hassle free returns within 30 days but do not send you the approval or information how to send and do not tell you when ordering the returns must be sent to INDIA! That is NOT HASSLE FREE or financially reasonable. Very unhappy for spending $120 on a bag.

Buyer Beware! I purchased a bag from a Facebook ad and have had issues from the start. The companies website leads you to believe that they are based out of California but the bags are shipped from India. I became concerned when I didn’t receive a purchase confirmation email, nor a shipping confirmation email. I wrote to the company and received an automated reply. Several emails later, I was given DHL tracking info and that indicates it is coming from India and the package has not even been received by DHL yet. I have requested my order to be canceled and a refund issued and now cannot get a response. I will be contacting the better business bureau as well as filing a complaint with Facebook.

Here is a copy of what I just filed with the BBB under the scam section. I would encourage everyone filing a complaint here to do the same!

Montana Hudson advertises frequently on Facebook selling handbags. In their ads and their website, the bags are gorgeous and sell for around $150.00 US. The website leads you to believe that the bags are handcrafted in California when in fact they come from India. I made the purchase and when I didn’t get a confirmation email, I reached out to the company. I only received an automated response back. After multiple attempts at contacting them, I was finally provided a tracking number. It was because of the tracking number that I became aware that the product is manufactured in India. After weeks, the tracking number provided indicates that the shipping company still has not received the bag for shipping. I have tried calling the number listed on their website and it goes immediately to voicemail with no option to leave a message. I have emailed daily requesting my order to be canceled and a refund with no response. In further researching this company I have found other customers that are experiencing an identical situation to mine. While some of their customers have received their bags, they report that the bags are not of the quality that their advertising indicates. This company is clearly scamming people out of their hard earned money!

Buyer beware! I purchased 2 bags from Montana Hudson (one took over 2 months to arrive) and am unhappy with the fake color on both bags. The die is orange, not a natural brown like shown in the pictures. I have sent 3 emails (all including my order numbers), with only an auto response coming back each time. The return window is 30 days. You can't make a return without an email reply from them. The kicker of the scam is, IF they actually do reply, which I'm doubtful they will, you have to pay a $15 restocking fee per item AND pay to return it to the warehouse it shipped from, which is in INDIA. They don't mention on the website that you have to pay for the return to INDIA.

I canceled the order within one hour of placing it following their suggestion to write CANCEL ORDER in all caps in the subject line. They claim an order can be canceled within 24 hours of it being placed. Never received any response except for automatic emails. Ordered another bag from reputable company the next day and received that bag. Then few weeks later I get an automatic email from Montana Hudson that my order shipped. I tried to call them and email multiple times letting them know that I would be willing to return the package if they sent prepaid label since the order was canceled by me well within their alloted cancelation period so it's their fault it was not shipped. No response to anything. I reported fraud with my bank and today I received an email from Montana Hudson that their received the fraud request due to cancelation but the bag can only be canceled within 24 hours and it was delivered and they want to work with me to resolve the matter. What a joke! I have tried nothing but to work with them. They never admitted that they should have canceled the order but since they messed up they would be sending a prepaid shipping label for the bag as a normal company would. I was more than willing to work with them but since I've heard no response to my multiple requests, I had no other choice but to file a fraud request with my credit card company. What a scam, all we can hope is for the company to go out of business soon and stop spamming other people from their hard earned money.

I ordered and paid for one of their bags on 6 August MH16310. I quickly received an email stating that my order had been shipped and received a DHL shipping number however, the package still has not been sent (I discovered when I contacted DHL directly).

My first email to the company resulted in a generic automated response. My second email has not received any response.

I have today also discovered a new facebook page called Hudson & Co advertising the same bags. Buyer beware, this appears to be a scam. I will be reporting this as a fraudulent transaction.

Also, please cancel order MH16310. I have reported this as fraud to my credit card company due to the sheer number of similar complaints with regard to this company.

It is also extremely suspicious that you are only responding to complaints on this site. Genuine enquiries about orders that are sent to the company email do not receive any response.

The order number is in the first sentence of my complaint, MH16310.

Montana Hudson is a fraudulent company. I purchased a bag from them the last week of July 2020 and they charged me immediately. Then sent me a DHL shipping/tracking number that doesn’t exist per DHL. I am unable to contact anyone at the company via phone or email. I am contacting my bank on Monday to report the charge as fraudulent and filling a small claims suit and contacting the BBB.

I am extremely nervous now because it is 8/28 and I ordered on 8/19. I thought I vetted this company before I ordered since we have been scammed before! I did miss they are an international company. It is not clearly stated items ship from India, just made by artisans there. It is stated in their FAQ at the very bottom. I included a pic. They also write on their home page that the bags are designed in California. I think there is a bit of a misrepresentation for where the bags are “made” and “shipped” from. When I received my tracking information it says no tracking is available. When I go to the DHL website and enter the tracking the package is listed in India. This is extremely concerning. I did receive an email immediately after ordering that stated it could be a while due to staffing issues from COVID. After another google search I found this website and now I am truly nervous. I do believe a clear shipping and estimated arrival date should have been made clear BEFORE purchase. That is good business practice and open communication with your customers. I am thankful to see Sheryl responding to some posts but find it interesting she has no responses from the customers. I will update when I receive my bag. Hopefully in the near future as I was wanting this bag by Monday for a work event and that is not likely to happen.

**UPDATE** I received my bag yesterday! Yay! I was honestly surprised and thankful I left the reviews I have thus far. I did file a discrepancy with my cc company but have contacted them to remove the discrepancy. I felt it wise to update here as well since I too believed the company to be a scam. I stick by my original suggestion, they need to stop taking orders until they can process the ones received and be VERY CLEAR with the buyer that the bags ship from India.
The bag was as described on the website. I placed the order on August 19 and received on September 7. That is a very long shipping time. The leather is quality, and the bag is well made. I am very pleased with the purse. The inside has plenty of space and easily cleanable.
I would recommend anyone who is purchasing to give the company a chance, be patient. Also, if they are able to keep stock at their California location and ship from there that would help the processing time. However there are actions a buyer can take to protect themselves if/when they are concerned. I did and I am thankful I am able to update the review with a positive outcome. I have attached pictures below of the packaging and the Eva purse.

My tracking #1739868760. I sent an email to your support team. When I contacted DHL today at 3:40 CST they said the package has not yet arrived at your facility. Keep in mind the email said the package shipped on August 25. After I spoke with DHL and have not had a response from your support team I contacted my CC company to file a dispute. As a business owner myself you need to reduce your capacity to help ensure your customers stay satisfied. Your business is taking quite a beating because of the practices, even in the midst of COVID. Sometimes it is best not to take an order at all if you can not fill it to the standards you claim on your website.

I ordered a leather bag on August 4 and still don't have it and it's August 28th. Tried a Facebook ad for the first time. Never again. Don't expect to see the bag or my money. They charged my credit card immediately. When I contacted them, I got a similar weak excuse. Would not recommend ordering from this company! Lesson learned about ads on Facebook. (I also ordered some sandals on same day from Facebook ad. They were late and cheaply made.). Forget about Facebook ads!

Same experience. Filed complaint with BBB, would recommend everyone do so, it's not hard and they do investigate. Filed dispute with my credit card company, everyone should also do that. They are definitely fraudulent. I ordered on 7/17/20, it's now 8/27/20, no bag, no response after multiple contact attempts. BEWARE.

If something seems to good to be true, it often is. I'm having the same experience as others on this site. Order is 'sitting in India' ...DHL does not have it, but I was sent an email saying "order is on the way". I've asked for my Order MH17460 to be cancelled, and will be reporting this to my credit card company as well.

I ordered a tote on 8/4 . I received a shipping notification stating they sent info to DHL on 08/11. Called DHL and was told they haven’t received the package. Have been emailing customer service every day for 2 weeks no answer. Order #MH16366. I understand with what is going on with the world there are delays but be honest doesn’t tell me it shipped when it really didn’t.

Horrible product. Very disappointed. Do NOT buy. Not locally sourced. Came from India. Misrepresented of product. Tote looks like fake stressed fake leather. Very heavy, hard and stinks. Rip off big time.
It looks nothing like the product they are promoting. Contacting my credit card company re: fraudulent company. DO NOT BUY from this web site. They fake all their reviews. There is no way to review on their web site. The my delete comments on Facebook and Instagram.

I have had the same experience. Ordered my bag on the 1st of August and only computer generated answer and message that the bag is coming from India. My name is Stephanie Ouimet and my order number is MH15425. Giving it one more week then calling my credit card compagny for fraud and the better business bureau. I ordered an expensive ‘vintage’ leather bag and its quality is very poor. The ‘vintage’ aspect are large gouges in the leather!
Since the day it arrived, I’ve been emailing to request a return and refund. I’ve been doing that for three weeks! There phone number for customer service has a recorded message that we should send them an email. They are not taking voicemail messages. My order number is MH11510. We are approaching 30 days of no reply which is the return time limit. How can I get help?

Hello Mary Ann! I saw that it was delivered last August 4, 2020 under the name of Mary Ann Whitney. Our leather bags are made by artisans in India to its highest quality. Others were satisfied on the item they received, however if you are not satisfied, then we would like to resolve this issue. Have you tried sending an email of your complaint? We are looking forward on making you satisfied with our products.

Placed order number MH15810 at the end of July, the website did not honor the 10% off coupon code I had, so I lost that $$. Finally got a shipment email for DHL, but it just keeps saying DHL hasn’t picked it up yet. After reading these reviews I am very concerned I’m out $160! Buyer beware!

I ordered a tote bag on 7/31/2020 and received a tracking notice on Aug 7, 2020 that tracking was received but not picked up yet and the bag is coming from India. Montana Hudson promotes the bags being designed in California, but doesn’t mention anywhere on their website as being manufactured in India. It’s now 8/20/2020, and still no communication from Montana Hudson. I have emailed the company numerous times, tried calling their phone number only to get a recording that instructs you to leave an email. I’ve left numerous comments on their Facebook page. I receive promotional emails every day. At this point, I feel I’ve been scammed and my only recourse will be to file a dispute with my credit card company. Buyer beware.

Thank you for your comments. It is how we will grow as a company. I tried to find your order to resolve it, but I need more information such as a full name or order number. On our about us page we state that our bags are handcrafted by artisans is India. They have years of experience working with these types of leather. We have 1000's of satisfied customers, and know that we can only add you to that list if we can figure out why you don't have your bag by now.

Ordered a $150 bag on August 02, 2020. Received a DHL tracking info saying the bag was in DELHI (NEW DELHI) - KANPUR - INDIA as of August 07,2020. Still says the same thing. Tried to contact Montana Hudson by email and got a robo response with generic wording. Tried to reach them by phone and received a recording to send an email and no way to leave a message. I believe this to be a scam business. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. Also, it is impossible to leave a message or review on their Facebook page.
