My elderly mom ended up on this website after looking for a lower cost flight (https://meta.smartcheapfares.com/). She received two emails, the first one was an itinerary along with flight cost. The second email asked for a picture of the front and back of her credit card along with a picture of her ID. She forwarded me both of these emails and after thoroughly reading them, one thing that stuck out to me is the incorrect grammar. Another thing odd is the website is not a "www" address. Twice I called the phone number provided on the website and each time a male with a foreign accent answered, and they don’t answer stating the company name which you are calling. When I started asking questions about the emails they would talk over me and were quite rude and both eventually hung up on me. My mom contacted her credit card company, but a charge had not yet shown up and she was told that the charge would have to be made before she can dispute it. It’s unknown at this time if she lost money.
