Found after Christmas sales on Pinterest. I don't usually click the links. I picked out sale items and purchased with my credit card. Bank contacted me immediately to ask if it was fraud. I had them freeze my card and the purchase. Bank told me to contact seller, but no number was available. Email was for [email protected]. I sent an email to cancel order and informed them I was disputing the charge with my bank. Next day they sent me a tracking number and said it shipped. My bank said the merchant was MStorePaperoomatesLTD. The shipper is with AnserX - shipping from China. No way to track.

I clicked on a sponsored post on Pinterest advertising L.L. Bean clearance sales. The website looked legitimate- it had the Logo and items that are sold by the company. It also had multiple spots where it said “secure site” as I was scrolling. I didn’t notice until too late that the url was misspelled. It said I had qualified for free shipping. I was sent a confirmation email with the L.L. Bean logo saying I would be notified when my items were shipped. The email did not seem legitimate as it listed a clearly fake email address and no other means of contacting the business. I immediately checked my banking info and realized that the payment was being sent to the United Kingdom and was for more than the amount listed on my receipt.
