I received an unsolicited email and phone calls claiming that my Royal Solaris Resorts timeshare ownership was needed as part of a merger and acquisition involving Hilton Grand Vacations. The sender claimed owners would be paid above-market value for their ownership rights and requested contract details, including the contract number, owner names, and contract issue date, for a supposed property evaluation. The email referenced well-known companies and past acquisitions to appear legitimate and urged recipients to contact them immediately. This appears to be a timeshare resale/acquisition scam designed to obtain personal information and potentially convince owners to pay fees or transfer their ownership under false pretenses. Owners should independently verify any acquisition claims directly with their resort or the company allegedly involved before providing information or signing any documents.
