Payday Loan Extortion Scam

An alleged compliance officer named Juliana Wolff called, claiming she was with the Orlando office of Lauren Davis and Associates Mediation. She said they had been trying to contact me for the past two months—unsuccessfully—regarding a payday loan that I supposedly authorized using an AOL email, which was deposited into my Washington Mutual account using my driver’s license. She stated that she wasn’t calling to dispute whether or not I actually made the transaction, but to inform me that my file would be pulled for judgment today because I hadn’t attempted to resolve the matter. She told me to call her back immediately at 866-574-7482 to prevent further action.

She repeatedly talked over me when I tried to explain that I knew this was a scam and that all of her information was false. This is clearly a scammer, and you should not engage with them.

They called my ex sister-in-law left a message, then they called me and provided the information about a Citibank account/ credit card from 2014 . Stating that I have expired the 10-year payback period which i have never heard of. stating I owe 2000+ and a settlement was not received, so now my garnishes and wages will be frozen. If that was the case, then why wait 10 years, the only garnishment I have ever had was with the Department of Education. I don't know what scams these people have going on but I am crazy enough to if it happens and then deal with it.

I received a call from a friend that has my last name but we are not related saying someone called looking for me. I asked him what the number was and when I called it was a recording and I hung up. When they called back I answered and she said how can I help you I said you called me. She said one minute while I run your number and then she said the last 4 of my social and name. I said what is this about she said a loan from pay day loan yes but you spoke to someone in December and I said yes and she said Cash Net USA. She started getting smart saying I didn't say that and I said did I speak to you in December and she just kept saying I didn't say that during this conversation and I said I didn't say that you said that I said in December. So since you are saying something different can you sent me this in writing along with the contract showing the amount of 850.00 that I owe and she says you can get that in court. Here I am living in DC and she states Prince William County. I said you know what do what you have to do and hung up. Their number is 202-864-3238

I got a call saying I took out a payday loan from advance America for the amount of$570 dollars but I never did but they said if I pay them $600 dollars they would Seattle the loan then said if I don't pay they well take me to court for restitution in amount of $2500.or they well garnish my income of social security but I don't get social security. I knew then something wasn't right with that call they would get a judge against me.they said the loan was taken out in 2014.and they said the bank account used was a chase bank.i never had chase bank in 2014.the call didn't sound right

SAME CALL OVER THREE (3) YEARS

I"ve been receiving the same call from these prople for a few years - threatening to take me to court, freeze my account and garnish my wages.They state I owe a hospital bill from years ago in (North Carolina) - I've never been to N. Carolina and I do not know anyone there, so why would I go to the hospital there? This is becoming disturbing.

Scammers reaching out to Family members-Lauren Davis and Associates

They texted my sister from 205-316-228. I called them, and they texted me from 315-355-8381. I called them several times, and they got angry and hung up. Lauren Davis and Associates is the name they are using. I called my attorney and sent them my attorney's information. I have also filed a complaint with law enforcement. They will be stopped.

Rude people

Lauren Davis mediation department contacted me they want give me any info at all threatening .my wages and sending me to court what gets me they have all my personal info. They keep saying I owe them 1150.00 and stopped making payments to them so now there saying see you in court we are trying to rec judgement for 3800.00. I said do what OMG for what she was so rude gave me no info and told me I needed an attorney and see you in court and that I will be served at my home address. the only thing I know to do is wait and see if any paperwork comes to me to even see what this is about.

They have been calling me non-stop, even sending messages to my family. I called them the lady turned rude when i asked for information to be sent to me in order to find out about the information. It would be in my maiden name. All i was asking was for correct information. To threaten me to be arrested and i havent gotten any information is beyond me. I will definitely be reporting it to the Better Business.

A man called said he was from the Mediation department of Lauren Davis and Associate. Said he was calling on behalf of citibank that i was was been by sued by citibank. He had my name and social. I never had a Citibank account. he said i needed to pay thousands of dollars. Or i was gonna be taking to court. When i ask his name he got rude and said my name is Court you going to court ************ and started cursing at me. He keeps calling form multiple numbers a 833-883-2894 and a 205-316-2182> saying if i dont pay my wages will be garnished and i will be sued in court.

I received this call today, from Citibank as well. As they could not provide me with the contact information for Citibank. They call from the local area that you live in also, I am in the dfw area (469) area code is what i received. Tell me has anything come from there threats?
