Type of a scam Debt Collections

My Father is a resident at the Lawton/Fort Sill Veterans Center and has been taken by ambulance to the hospital on a few ocasions. Well the bills start coming very inconsistant from Kirk's EMS and sent to my 91 year old father which he does not have the mental capacity to pay but eventually he would give them to me and I would pay them. I kept getting bills so I finally went to the business office at Kirk's and told them I wanted to get this straight on what he owed which was at this time was $250.00 so I paid it and thank heavens got a reciept. Less than 2 weeks later I got a bill for the same run for $200.00 so I went back to their business office and confronted them and another lady looked it up and said I only paid $50.00 and still Owed $200.00 at which time I produced the paid in full reciept and things went worse from there. They went in and deleated the bill but in the same instant were supposedly unable to produce me a paid reciept this time nor could the person that I paid the first time. I had them initial my original reciept. I feel someone there is skimming money from bill payments. I notified the Lawton/Fort Center of what had occurred with my father and with concern that this was happening to other veterans in the center. They told me they would check into the matter. I don't want this to happen to other veterans and their families. I may have paid this company money for other runs that we din not owe and that is OK. Just want to protect the rest. Sincerely
