Type of a scam: Employment

Received an email from [email protected] stating that my resume from Indeed was the most suitable from those obtained. She referred me to another woman named Ashley Ralph who was apparently an Hr Manager for the company Satellos. She was to conduct an interview with me via Skype. The first red flag I got was that the email appeared in the promotion section of my gmail. They described the company in the email and gave me a website link with vague details of the company and what they do. They told me in the email that my starting pay would be $30.75 and hour and paid $20.50 an hour for training. I was required to download Skype and add Ashley's Skype username or email which by the way was a hotmail account. I was told to send her an invitation/message and a brief introduction of myself with a verification code. Then they gave me another email to contact her, this time a gmail account. I was advised to add her as soon as possible and that it was immediate employment, once confirmed for the position I would receive the company's letterhead. I went through with the Skype interview which only took place through text. I was given another company's name with the same salary the next day, Kariya pharmaceutical, which looked identical to the last website I was told to visit. She told me to respond to her with simple Yes or No answers then asked me some more questions where I had to answer them individually and say Done once I finished with the last one. After I finished answering she said that I did well answering the questions and that she was 90% certain I would be hired after having a second decision from another hiring member. After about 20 minutes she said I was given the job and they sent me a very simple company letter head, a "letter of employment" where I had to print the document, sign it , and upload the photo to Skype. It only included a signature and a date. I asked her why the company was different than the one previously posted and told me that they were affiliates and had no job openings in the last company. During the next few days I was told to contact them early in the morning and even during labor day to continue with the hiring process. I was not given a video or call interview, I was to send them a selfie for the account of the mac I was going to receive from them and I was required to contact the nearest company that provided landline services in the area for the home phone I needed for the job. I gave them my address and 2 personal references that they needed. They are going to send me a check for the equipment I need and I was told to deposit it into my account as soon as I receive it. I asked them if I can have a phone number to contact them in case I needed help and they did not provide one, all contact should be made through Skype.
