Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

JW Publication Inc Scam

We have been repeatedly receiving emails and faxes from JW Publication Inc with an invoice requesting payment for a service we have never requested or authorized. They are very persistent, our experience is consistent with other reports you have.

Fake invoice.

I am receiving an invoice from this company for some advertising that we never agreed to. They send it to both my business and personal emails. Here is the example:

"411ontario.ca/ $995.95
Online business listing https://411ontario.ca/ https://yellowbusinesspages.ca https://my411.services/
Invoice deployed and dated at advertising tern end, with net 30 terms.
1 X $995.95"
When I googled them the corporation seems to be dissolved in 2013.

Received a fax stating that we were 30 days past due on payment ($719.95) for "Online Business Listing 800ads.com advertising network"... which we've never had and never asked for. It was also billed to us using an address we had over 10 years ago to the attention of a previous owner. The fax states that we had requested a final invoice to close of the advertising with yellowphonepages.com and that they added us to the do not call and do not renew list. They included a "reminder" that they take payment by credit card, direct deposit or check online via their website. Check or money orders also accepted and mailed to them, or c/c by fax.

The business I work for received a fake invoice from JW Publication by fax. It states that our company owes $719.95 to JW Publication for an online business publication listing. My manager requested I find out who authorized it. I called the number on the invoice but leaving a voicemail was the only option. I looked up the company online and found multiple sites stating that this is a scam. The websites for JW Publication shown on the fax were 800ads.com, ypp411.com, and yellowphonepages.com. Their fax number is 888-665-6046. No email address.
