IT USA Reports & Reviews (89)

Received an invoice today via postal mail from IT USA for two pieces of equipment. We did not order any such thing and never heard of IT USA until now, when researching via BBB. Invoice totaled $1,220.95. They listed an actual employee's name and a specific piece of equipment. They are sneaky! We often get calls asking for copier equipement information. DO NOT GIVE IT!! If you use a copier company, they will never call you asking for information (ex: model numbers, etc). They already know that information. This postal mail came from Los Angeles, CA , yet the invoice came from NY.

IT USA is a scammer! Do not pay any invoice you get from them. Sent us an invoice for toner supplies we never ordered. Never spoke with them. Probably pulled info from our website. The audacity! The gall! Wish I could scam them back!

Received an Invoice via postal mail from IT USA for Ricoh MP 4054 Supplies. Invoice totaled $1,220.95. The funny part is that they listed an actual employee name and we actually do use that specific copier, so they are really sneaky or it is a weird coincidence.

The postal mail can from Los Angeles, CA , yet the Invoice came from NY

My company received an Invoice from IT USA stating that we bought printer cartridge ink from them. We have never heard of this company and never ordered supplies outside of our normal vendors. I received a call from a representative there and the number came up as 111111111111. He was saying that we need to pay the invoice in full. I told him that we never ordered supplies from them and he told me that they are a 3rd party vendor that fulfill requests from other corporations. I told him that he was a fraud. He begins saying that he was going to zero out my invoice and have the sales rep give me a call because he doesn't handle those things. I stated that he won't be receiving a dime from my company and that he is being fraudulent.

We received an invoice for printer toner that appeared real - they had our model of printer and a current staff members' name who does make orders. I checked with her before processing because the price for the product was more than twice the retail price and it seems like a possible scam. Also, we always have the staff member who ordered something sign off on payment. Included with the very real looking invoice was a sweetener - an offer of a $100 American Express gift card to be sent to the person who sent payment rather than a discount for the business. This is a more convincing looking scam than many we receive and that is why I am reporting it - to help shut it down. It should be investigated as a fraudulent business. Since our offer arrived by mail it may also fall under postal regulations about fraud. No web address was provided on the "invoice". There are many disclaimers in fine print on the back of the form but they are misleading as well.

Received a bogus invoice for HP LaserJet materials. The total amount of the invoice was $1220.95. They did offer a 10% discount if you provided electronic payment with credit card. The postmark on the envelope is from Los Angeles, CA even though the company is based in NY according to its letter head. It did include the name of a current employee, it was spelled wrong though. Invoice indicates due upon receipt and in small letters says that supplies are warehoused at no charge until delivery is requested.

They sent a fake invoice for products never ordered or received. Called the customer service line and there was no way to contact anyone.

Received invoice in the mail for Dell supplies that we did not order. Looked company up online and found other people have had the same issue with this exact same company. Called to dispute, but no answer. Outright scam attempt.

These people sent us an invoice ($2,400) for Xerox supplies and listed a correct product. I knew our supplies were covered under contract, so tried leaving messages. It got even more fishy when they sent a $100 gift card addressed to two people in our accounting department. This was the email we received from them:

"Hello ***,

Please see attached. Please let me know you've received this and any payment status that occurs.

Thank you,

Just like all the other reviews of this company. I do the ordering for my company so when the invoice hit my desk I knew it was a scam right away as i never ordered anything from them ever. There address is a Virtual Office in New York and I left multiple messages with no return.

Description of items supposedly ordered: Hewlett Packard LaserJet CP4005 @ $598.99/each for 2 plus shipping & handling. Total invoice = $1,220.95 They even obtained a name of someone working at the college.

We recieved a paper invoice from IT USA for Item HC53112 - Xerox Phaser 3200 MFP Supplies for a quantity of 2 at $598.99 each plus shipping costs of 22.97 for an Invoice Total of $1,220.95. We do not have anything that requires this particular supply item, Also, no one from our organization has ever done business of any kind with this company.

Our non for profit organization received an invoice from this company with my name as the contract person. I nor anyone from our organization ordered any supplies from this business. We have a contract with a reputable printer company and deal directly with them. The amount of the invoice is $1220.95. I contacted the business and all I get is a voicemail asking to leave a message and invoice number . The voicemail also states there may be a 48 hour turn around time to return calls. I should also add that the company address on the invoice is a PO Box in New York but the postage on the envelope shows it's posted out of Los Angeles and the last two digits of the postal zip code are missing. As I am writing this I got a call back from a Chris Hartly and the caller ID on my phone shows L1017 11111111111. I told him this was a bogus invoice and that I nor anyone in my organization ordered this and to also remove our name from their company directory. Chris said he would do so and if we wanted a cancellation number for the invoice. I said "Why would we want a cancellation number if we never ordered this? Remove us from your company directory. This invoice is fake"

Our company have received few fake invoices from ITUSA. First invoice was $1,220.95 for 2 Konica Minolta Toners/supplies which we never received. We don't even have Konica Minolta printer. Unfortunately, this was overlooked and paid. The second invoice was already for 3 Konica Minolta toners for $1,829.63.

This company is a scam.

Scam invoice trying to say we ordered toner from them. BS invoice. I also reported it to the FBI and USPS Fraud Dept.

IT USA firsts calls in to our office pretending to be our supplier - unfortunately they were told the make/model of the printers we use.

Then they send a fake invoice to your accounting dept for a large sum of money ($1,220.95) for printer supplies.

Then they have someone call you about a week later to collect payment of the now "past due invoice".

He can take your credit card over the phone to expedite payment, by the way.

When told we didn't place any orders with their company and that they had the wrong address for the shipment, the older gentleman on the phone (who I think was just an innocent guy trying to read a script provided by the company) stated they must have had a computer mix-up between the invoices and their catalog databases - and then very quickly hung up.

Same scam was run back in the mid-1990's.. really no different. KNOW what you order and from whom. Don't EVER feel pressed to pay someone over the telephone.

An invoice arrived from "IT USA" in New York, NY for printer supplies totaling $1,220.95. The invoice had the name of a specific printer owned by my company and the name of a current employee listed as a contact. It looked legitimate but was questioned and not paid. No shipment was received. Clearly an attempted fake invoice scam. The scammers apparently used social engineering to get information to make the invoice appear legitimate.

I received an invoice from IT USA for LaserJet supplies that were very expensive. The invoice had my name on it as the contact even though I never had any contact with the company. The invoice said that the product was shipped via UPS but nothing was ever received and no tracking number was listed.

On June 25, our Accounts Payable department received a printed invoice via USPS from ITUSA New York, for two HP printers and shipping totaling $1,220.95. The invoice referenced a contact in our HR dept. but did not list a PO #. Since we've never done business with ITUSA, we checked the ScamPulse.com website and found the negative reviews and scam alerts logged there. This entity is apparently committing federal mail fraud with presumed impunity, and needs to be brought to justice in a court of law.

We received an invoice from IT USA for printer supplies that we never ordered. They were charging a total of $1220.95. The contact name they used was a combination of two employees who do the purchasing. The first name of one and the last name of the other. They also sent a $100 VISA gift card for as a Special Offer with payment of the attached invoice. It is clearly a scam! When we researched online we saw the other complaints for the same thing. These people need to be shut down! I would think using the USA mail to send fake invoices would be considered mail fraud charge which is a Federal offense.
