On approximately May 13, 2017, I received a letter in the mail which included a check stapled to the letter claiming I had won $250,000.00 from the consumer's sweepstakes drawing which was held on May 8, 2017. The letter also included a Claim No. CAL34822MD. I was advised to contact my claims agent, Mr. Walter Oni, at 1 877 669 9252, Monday - Friday to start my claim processing and activate my check. The instructions also included, please do not act on this notice until you contact your claims agent to avoid mishandling. The letter was signed by Julia Vander, Promotion Manager. The letter also stated to present the information to a courier upon contacting the above number. The check, attached, is supposedly from John Hancock Insurance Company, 1 John Hancock Way, Boston, MA 2117 (not a valid zip code).
