I received an email saying they found my resume on a job board which I have been using. They included a link to fill out an application packet. This included a basic employee agreement, background check authorization, and I-9. The website had some basic information claiming the company was a new startup providing escrow services for bitcoin. I found it strange that they were asking me to complete a new employee packet without first doing an interview so I tried searching for more information on the company. The CEO was listed as Peter Blem and Business Development manager was Melissa Best. I could not find any information on these people or on the company name, Interim Coin LLC. I found that the physical address on their website was a legimate office building in Chicago so I called the building manager and asked about the company. She let me know that they did not have anyone in the building by that name or any of the people listed.

The original email came from a Verena Imel through a Constant Contact account. Email address [email protected]
