It happened to me twice.
The guy tells me he's about 50
Miles away. Wants me to get
On instantbg. I said no but you can come by & see the car.
Another response asked same thing but they wudnt come by & see the car either...
Neither person balked at the price but sure wanted the instant bg done.

Received a call from 877-510-5758. Asked if car was still available; when I replied yes, he hung up. Then immediately texted me and asked if car was available. Then said i needed to grab a vehicle history and he would then come buy the vehicle. When I asked where he lived, he gave me a city that is over 7 hours away. I'm simply selling a Camry, not a special, vintage car so I know most normal people are not going to drive that many hours away to buy a car. He then told me to go to: https://bg-cateam.com/BU-JodM9 This took me to InstantBG.com. (Site did not look right so I googled it and found out they are just using your info illicitly) He then wanted me to email it to: [email protected]. I told him I prayed he felt shame at spending his time just fishing for information when he obviously did not intend to buy.

same thing with me. - he asked me to do a car report on this website instead of car max because his dad was a car dealer and said this one was way more accurate. I didn't believe him he asked me to send it to his email and then never responded. I sent him another report and never heard back from him again. His email: [email protected] I just reported him to the authorities.

Same script as the other poster - The guy first called me and said “are you there” and then hung up and texted me. I got a message that they wanted to see my Jeep but they first wanted me to go to this website and get a vehicle history report. Sent me to the same website and a quick Google search led me here.

I am currently selling a pick up truck. The guy first called me and said “are you there” and then hung up and texted me. I got a message that they wanted to see the truck but they first wanted me to go to this website and get a vehicle history report. The first thing I noticed with the vehicle history report is that the information is wrong. The guy then stopped texting back once I called him to see when he was going to come look at it

Creep calls up, expresses high interest in vehicle and then asks you to buy report on car's history to send to him. Turns out, he's not actually interested in buying car. He just wants you to buy report, and then he disappears. This happened to me previously from same creepy outfit.
