Insider Disinfecting

Reno, Nevada

ATTN: Kim

On Friday April 18, 2025 @ 6:41pm, you contacted me regarding a resume I submitted on Indeed to Insider Disinfecting for a cleaning position within your company. You told me that you had a job available on Saturday April 19th, 2025, in Truckee, CA. You advised the job would be an “AirBnB turnover”, with payment amount of $140.00, to be paid upon completion of cleaning said property via Zelle or Apple Pay. You gave me the address of 10040 Estates Drive, Unit 25, Truckee, CA 96161.

Upon arrival, I quickly ascertained the job was not an AirBnB turnover. It was a moveout clean at Sierra Senior Services, per the address given. Part of the area to be cleaned was an outside storage area, that was covered in mouse droppings, which Is hazardous and can lead to death if not properly handled. At no time did you mention these details prior to me accepting this assignment. I drove from Reno, NV to Truckee, CA for an AirBnB turnover. The unit at Sierra Senior Services did have any cleaning supplies or equipment on site. I sent a text to you advising you that this site was not an AirBnB cleanout and was a moveout clean. I further informed you that I did not have the proper PPE to clean mouse droppings and that I would not complete that task. I then sent you pictures/videos per your request. You responded that you would pay $160.00 for the moveout clean and said, “you don’t need to touch the mouse droppings (I was unaware of that) and we were under the impression that is Airbnb”. At no time did you mention I would need to bring/use my own supplies and equipment.

At that time, had you informed me that I would not be compensated “at time of completion”, in full, if I did not clean up the mouse droppings, Iwould have left and not cleaned the apartment. You did not mention this to me until after I was already driving on my way back to Reno, NV. Where you stated to, can’t you just go buy some gloves and masks and do it”? These items should have been provided or notice given beforehand that I would need to bring. My personal vacuum was broken during the clean as the interior of the unit was not properly maintained.

I have repeatedly requested payment, with you stating, “you will get paid, but it won’t be $160.00”. To date, I have not received any payment from Insider Disinfecting. Nor has anyone replied to my numerous texts/calls. Because I have not received a response or payment, I am forced to report your business and issue you this demand letter. I demand that you cover the costs, which follows:

$160.00- cleaning unit #25 at above mentioned address

$150.00- cost of new vacuum

$10.00- supplies

$20.00- fuel from Reno to Truckee and back

Please send $340.00 by 4/22/2025 via apple pay. If I do not receive the payment by that deadline, I will file a claim with small claims courts to resolve this matter.

Thank you,
