I was called with the number disguised to be my PSE&G Public service. I was told they could save me 30% on my energy bill due to the coronavirus. They asked for 2 numbers off my current bill. I gave them the numbers. I was told I would be called back in an hour with a confirmation number. In the meantime, I became suspicious. I called PSE&G and they confirmed that this is a scam. When Indra called back with confirmation number, I told them I wanted to cancel. They asked me why and claimed they were PSE&G. I was called again today and asked why I wanted to cancel.

I am in the same boat as you. That is what really got me is on the caller id said pse&g I am trying to get some sort or refund now and hopefully I can get somewhere with them. I do not know how they get away with this. If we can get enough people together and get a lawyer. I never signed a physical document, did you? My last bill was 800$ and the same time last year before I signed up with them it was 266$. How is that saving us $$. My email is [email protected]
I just left a missive with nj utility commission to see if they can advise of any resolution and if we can stop them. But ultimately the utility company's should stop them. Its like they are in with them by letting them do this.

I received a call from INRA utility company . They did know my name on the GAS bill-therefore I assumed they are legit. They supposedly offered low gas prices due to CORONAVIRUS! After providing them with POD number and address they had to supposedly record my answers asked by a different person. When I heard that the price they quoted was for first month but will change I started asking questions and original man came on the line and sounded angry and asked to complete the questionnaire. I was put on hold for a long time. I started searching INRA online and realized I might had been scammed! I will call my GAs company first thing in the morning !

Type of a scam Utility

I receive numerous calls from this entity daily. The calls are spoofed. My caller ID identifies the caller as Duquesne Light Company, and the number that shows up on my caller ID is a Duquesne Light number. I answered one of the calls and the caller indicated that she was calling me from India and wanted information about my utility bill, presumably so she could offer me a discount. I said I wasn’t interested and told the caller not to call me again, but the calls continue. I am on both the Pennsylvania and Federal Do Not Call lists. It is my understanding that these calls are originating from INDRA Energy, with a purported offices in Philadelphia and New Jersey, and no affiliation whatsoever with Duquesne Light.

Type of a scam Utility

The door-to-door salesman attempted to sell me a "lower energy rate" on my electric and gas bills through changing my energy supplier to Indra Energy. The encounter started by the individual knocking, introducing themselves, and showing an ID badge from Indra Energy. Then, the individual continued by claiming there was an error on my energy bills due to the meter issue, and it was causing me to be charged a higher rate. Next, the individual requested copies on my bills to confirm the error. However, after further conversation, I realized the individual was attempting to trick me into consenting to switch my energy supplier to "reduce" my rates. I abruptly ended the conversation after realizing the slamming attempt.
