On Nov 3rd, 2024, I was looking up a receipt. All of a sudden, a message came up that I had a Trojan horse, and it was capturing all my information. It gave a number at the bottom for Microsoft to call 877.906.0348. In a panic I called. I asked if it was Microsoft he said yes. He proceeds to tell me that my computer was infected, and I need to stop it right away. He accessed my computer and was showing me all the things that were going on including a porn sight. Not having much computer knowledge, it worried me, so I told them to fix it with a charge of $199. They did not ask for any credit card or banking info so it makes you think that maybe they are OK. They ask you to send a check. He said not to touch the computer for 30 min while they cleaned it up. I should how know better to just unplugged the computer. It made me so nervous that the next morning I had a legit computer company come out to remove any systems they put in which they found a couple. That did cost me $100 which was well worth it for peace of mind. Don't fall for this scam. They have called back a couple times. I told them this was a scam, and I wasn't going to pay them. He said they would give it to their attorney. I still worry about them getting back in. I see on the ScamPulse.com that many folks have

dealt with these people.
