I was contacted from Douglas Miller with Carewell, Inc. I answered questions about the position and how I could maintain confidentiality. They asked for SSN but I refused. There were questions about do I have a credit card and what the limit was. Did I have credit card debt to pay off. I refused to answer either question. They did ask the name of the bank I used and how I wanted to be paid, by direct deposit or check. I did give them my address but that was the most personal information I released. They sent me a contract, job paperwork and W-4 and an I-9. I did not return any of the paperwork. When I got the paperwork this morning, I decided to do some investigating before releasing any additional information. I found several websites on Carewell, Inc. being a scam, so I have ended the contact with this company. If you need additional information, please feel free to contact me.

Found a job posting for a remote data entry position. Applied and received an email from

Julianah Claude with a link to Teams meeting with Douglas Miller. I allowed the interview to progress for a few minutes then copy/pasted the ScamPulse.com scam report in response to his questions. That ended the interview.

Found a job listing online for company called Carewell Inc. I even checked out the website prior to applying. During the "interview" which was entirely via chat in Microsoft Teams and took almost TWO HOURS, there were multiple times when Mr. Miller was listed as away from his computer. Something felt off when I was asked for credit card information that I did not feel comfortable supplying. The entire process left me feeling uneasy and when requested to send an email with a lot of personal information and copy of my ID, that was a bit of a red flag.

They had posted on a job search site for a Data Entry level person, set up a Microsoft Teams interview. Some of the questions made me think it might be a scam, such as asking about credit cards. Then when they asked for a copy of my ID, I tried to call the company, which is supposed to be open 24/7, and got a voice mail, with no professional information or business information. I did NOT give them any of my credit card information, nor any of my IDs. I realized in time. They used the email I listed as a place to send, and also gave an additional email of [email protected]. If you need any additional information, please feel free to contact me

I was online looking for a job, i received a text from a Mr. Douglas Miller about a data entry position for his company Carewell inc.

he sent me all the paperwork to sign off on like it was a real job opportunity and then proceeded to get my banking account number and routing number for direct deposits.

After that he asked me for my cash app info and proceeded to send me $30, then i was asked to buy $30 in bitcoin and send it back to him using a code 1HDK8MJqyGKKBTxWnC2z75rbTedZZDQz5A. i did what was asked and then got completely ghosted. I blocked him from cash app and the nbegan lloking scams up online to see if it was a scam and i found this website.
