Scammer's phone925-474-4564 Type of a scamIdentity Theft
This is the exact text I received with the ability to click on the web address/link. "IDES, Illinois department of employment security. Due to numerous number of fraud claims we request you verify your identity https://www2.netvasco.com.br/IDES/index.html to prevent your Account been locked" This is the second one I have received. The first was for the Wisconsin department of employment security. That phone number I did not save....but it was a Rockford, IL area code. Note this area code is from California. I have deleted both messages and did not click on the link. Note the English is incorrect in places and lack of capital letters where one would expect. I live in Wisconsin but noted on the first text that it came from Illinois. The second indicated Illinois but was from a California cell phone from what I could figure out.

I received a letter stating that I was eligible for unemployment benefits. The next week I received a card for benefits so I reached out to the unemployment office and they advised me to shred the card since I had not applied for unemployment.

I received a letter in the mail today (my husband got the same letter).Titled UI finding, talking about getting unemployment benefits. Said we could get the benefits on a debit card or directly into a checking account. I heard about this scam on WGN radio. Just did not know exactly what to do about it.

Received letter saying I was denied for unemployment benefits. No social on letter and no card came with it. Name and address are correct but past employers are all not true. Have reached out to IDES by phone and FTC, waiting to hear back.

My husband got a debit card and letter in the mail supposedly from IDES. We are seniors and retired and have not submitted an application for benefits. The card and letter said the benefits would be served by Key Bank, and if we had questions we should call 866-295-2955 or go to their website, which is key2benefits.com. We heard this was a scam, so we tried to report it to the IDES fraud line and the local employment office, but we were never able to get anyone to answer the phone or call us back. We called the local Better Business Bureau office and reported it. They suggested we make sure we checked our credit and monitored our accounts.

I received a letter and a debit card in the mail from IDES - Illinois Department of Employment Security. I am 79 years old and did not apply for unemployment benefits. I did not activate the card, and tried to report it to their fraud number and the local office, but could not get anyone on the phone.
