I received a letter stating that there was a data breach that occurred last year between two identified dates (2/17/2024 - 2/20/2024. They said that the data involved may contain information such as: name, address, date of birth, phone number, email, Health insurance data, health data, billing, insurance claims, payment data, social security number, driver's license number, etc. It was a long list of information that may have been involved in the data breach. The data breach supposedly occurred in one of the health care providers' offices. The letter had information on how to obtain my credit report, and it offered one year of free privacy invasion and identity protection screening. The letter said to get this one free year I should enroll in IDX Credit and Identity Monitoring Services. There was a phone number, or I could go to www.changecybersupport.com. I went on that website. I created an account and registered. Then the web site wanted me to enter just about every piece of private information I have. They wanted my social security number, date of birth, driver's license number, all kinds of other account numbers and passwords. I did not enter any information. I got suspicious and decided to check them out first. That is how I found the ScamPulse.com scam, where another person experienced something very similar.
