Hotelvalues.com Reports & Reviews – Page 2 (37)

Fake website. Blow. They charge much more than the reservation. The value center responds that your reservation was not found, and the reservation number does not exist. They hang up the call.

This is a brazen criminal enterprise. This network of sites attempts to create the look and feel of a legitimate hotel brand when you end up on one of their sites. Like most fraudulent schemes, these fraudsters rely on search engine optimization to trick people who conduct a google (or other search engine) searches for a specific hotel to book. Because hotelvalues.com has various hotel names optimized you often end up on their website. When you book, they charge exorbitant processing fees to book your room. When you call them, they offer you a partial refund. It is unfortunate that AUSAs and Federal Trade Commission has not caught on to these brazen fraudsters. I strongly urge victims of the scam and those that don’t fall for the fraud but come close to being tricked, to report this network to authorities and share their experience online. In short, the hotel values.com network trick consumers into believing they are on a specific hotel website, and then charge them fees that are often in excess of 1/3 of the entire booking rate.

We booked a room in Vancouver not realizing it was a 3rd party. We tried to cancel 2 minutes later. The would NOT cancel & blamed the hotel. The hotel said it was them. Do NOT book anything with this name. Crooks!

Every single person reports the same experience. I was charged 174.00 in additional fees for a room stay that totaled 240. Can't speak to anyone in this country. Even if you cancel you get no money back. And BBB has no domestic listing for this company. Every site has 100% reviews that say scam.

Went to the HI Express website to book a stay in Chicago. Somehow my reservation was intercepted by a third party scam operation hotelsvalues.com. There was no indication of this until I completed my reservation and received confirmation, showing extra charges and fees and no refund policy. Calls to these people led nowhere. HI Express had no record of any reservation for me. It's a total scam and very clever as you have absolutely no indication that a 3'rd party has hijacked your reservation and payment info. Be very careful when booking any hotel reservations online.

Booked hotel reservation at Holiday Inn Express website. Submitted payment information and when I got confirmation saw that a third party (hotelvalues.com) had intercepted my activity and posted charges for the entire stay along with ridiculous taxes, fees and misc. other charges and stated no cancellation policy. Calls to customer service were to no avail nor was requesting to speak to supervisor. Emails were not responded to in helpful manner. When I called Holiday Inn directly to check my reservation, they had no record of it. I don't know how this happened as I was on the Holiday Inn website, it had their logo and nothing to arouse suspicion that a third party scamming operation had invaded it. I DO NOT fault Holiday Inn. I am out serious money and have no reservation (not that I can even afford the trip at this point).

Holiday Inn Tullahoma, TN reservation number #R3061456964 I made a reservation on my phone mistaking this for the Holiday in site. There wasn't any mention of membership and fees. There wasn't a breakdown or a total for the weekend until I put in all of my information and executed the purchase. When I received my confirmation email it was for $858.78! I was livid. We called the customer service where they were no help. The representative we spoke with (Rose) was unapologetic and made it out to be my fault. They also will not let you talk to a manager either. We attempted to replicate the reservation to see all of the detail she claimed "I was aware of" on the page but dismissed the details, but no luck. They (Rose) said they can not cancel the reservation because Holiday Inn would not let them. That was confirmed to be a lie because we were on the phone with that Holiday Inn at the same time. Rose was aware of that but un-phased. The end result was I have a two day reservation for almost $900. They are lyres and scam artists. I am not done with these people.

Ooops Do NOT USE Hotel Values.com

I booked a room for my husband. Only to find out that he was unable to check in “no reservations”. Called customer service. They “claimed” they were calling the hotel. I asked “What number are you dialing.” He then stated give me the number and I will try again. Mind you that was after he clicked over to call them himself after leaving me on hold..

Then he told me to call back and try again. In the middle of Texas storm.

I’m calling Chase tomorrow to dispute these charges..

Do USE them. Lesson learned call the hotel directly

Hello I booked a twin room on 25th October For 11th November 2022. AT THE Novo Hotel Glasgow

£116.91p I am currently self isolating and called hotel to cancel and thet advised me to go onto site I booked it through. Can you please advise me what to do as this site now looks a bit suspect many thanks Frances

I went Wyndham website, that's what I thought, to book two nights. They booked nine nights for me and charged to credit card. I got the confirmation and realized the mistake. I called Wyndham hotel and was told that I booked through the party and that I have to call hotelvalues. When I called hotelvalues, I was told to call their affiliate, getaroom. When I called getaroom, I was told off the no cancelation policy. If want to cancel, I will lose $2500 and pay new charge two nights.

They promised to fix my reservation that they messed up and they didn't. I had to pay twice for the second night of our hotel stay, I called them to fix it again and they refused to fix their mistake and would let me talk to someone in charge. They will lie to you and refuse to m
Fix the problems they caused.

#hotelvalues.com is a big scam. Booked through them thinking I was talking to the Holiday Inn Express Condado Puerto Rico.
They charged my credit card with $858.60 and after 2 days stay i request Invoice from hotel and charges were for only $592.40, the difference is not even recognized by hotel, they tell me to go to Hotel Values and these thieves don't even answer the calls, and emails are bouncing. They are going to fall big time.

Just Like the others who have reported this company, I thought I was booking directly with the hotel for a reservation, and was not reading all of the fine print, which states down at the bottom that you cannot cancel the reservation. When I got the confirmation, I saw that I was charged about a $100 more for the room than I should have been. Of course, they make it impossible to reach them, so I cancelled the reservation and did not use the room. I called my credit card company to block the charge but the SCAM company is actually fighting to keep the money. But I am fighting too. Be careful! Their websites look like the hotel websites!

My husband and I reserved two rooms through getaroom.com at Hotel Indigo New Orleans. Called the hotel eight days later to ensure a smooth trip only to find out that only one room had been reserved. After two hours on the phone with getaroom.com to work out the issue we ended up cancelling our reservation with getaroom.com. Getaroom.com insisted on charging us a cancelation fee for their mistake. We cancelled four days before our scheduled arrival because of their mistake and they want to charge us a cancellation fee?! Pure insanity. I feel as though the getaroom.com is scamming people. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company. This is completely unfair.

First they did not say anything about being a 3rd party reservation site. They imply that you are making the reservation with the hotel. Then they charged me 42.6% in fees and taxes for the reservation. I will never (NEVER!) do this again. NEVER!

On June 12th I attempted to book two nights for June 18 & June 19th with checkout of the morning of June 20 at a hotel in Walnut Creek. The webpage of hotelvalues.com appeared very similar to the actual hotel website. The confirmation email showed the reservation was for June 12 with a total price of $239.56 for one night. When I called the customer service team, several representatives refused to modify or cancel the transaction. So I booked through the hotel directly for two nights for a total price of $313.25, which is really all I wanted to do in the first place. I recommend avoiding hotelvalues.com because it is indeed a rip-off.
