I thought I was booking on Hilton's site. They mirrored their site. I made the reservation about 5 months in advance through HotelValues.com. It was non-refundable. When I received the confirmation I noticed the hotelvalues.com email and was concerned. I called Hilton. They said it probably was a 3rd party but they did see the reservation. I, too, saw the reservation in my Hilton account so I felt better. BUT...a few weeks before my travel, they canceled the reservation. Hilton refunded the 3rd party the funds but the 3rd party did not refund me. I lost $1741.58. I received confirmation that my reservation was canceled and there is nothing I can do about it. Hilton should not allow reservations from hotelvalues.com.

My father booked a room for the popular UK chain The Holiday Inn and unfortunately somehow selected Hotelvalues.com to book through. They booked the wrong hotel and when we tried to cancel the (flexible and cancelable rate room) we couldn't not find the source. The we called the hotel we had booked and they first said that our booking was through Priceline and then on a subsequent phonecall said it was through Agoda. Neither were true. They cannot cancel it direct so we are stuck with a hotel room we don't need. The bank have said that they won't stop the payment because it looks legitimate from their end (we will contest). The email [email protected] is a dud and I did not dare call the US based number at the bottom of the confirmation email for fear of massive charges like the person above.

I called the number for Marriott that I found on Google.com. The person on the phone stated they were an employee at the local Marriott site and could take my reservation. After my stay, I needed to provide an expense report for my company. The price the hotel charged me was about $300 than what was listed on my credit card statement. The credit card listed at the Marriott site I stayed at was not even my credit card. It seems to me that this phone number/website is a scam that upcharges booking rooms.

Reservation was made by mistake and canceled immediately upon realization of said mistake. Original charge was $1106.29.

Refunded only $339.07. Working with my Credit Card Company to resolve.

Charged my credit card for 353.67 for the hotel named AmericInn by Wyndham in Feb2024 for a reservation to be used in August. The hotel changed ownership in between the reservation made and the stay. The previous owner must have this money. Have since found out the "hotelvalues.com" is a scam. Hotel is located in Streator, IL.

We thought we were booking through Hilton Honors website, a pop up came up and we booked.

We received text confirmation for the wrong hotel. We called Hilton Honors, they said it was booked thru Priceline. We looked at the email, it was booked through a third party “Hotel Values,” their customer service number put us through to a lady at her house, who continuously claimed she “could not hear us” despite no reception issues. They changed us 326.77 in “fees.” They charged our account under “ HTL*HamptonInnByHi” so it looked legitimate to our credit card company, Capital One, who refused to put a block on the charge for that reason. We called the Hampton Inn, they had record of our booking through Priceline, so fingers crossed we will have the room, will not need to repay, and will be out only the $327 this spam company stole from us. Please investigate so this does not happen to anyone else!!

This company seems to have high jacked a reservation I made through booking.com. they sent me a confirmation email, but did not provide the hotel with the money. therefore, we paid two times for the same room as we arrived and no money had been paid. Then trying to get the money back is a nightmare. Booking.com says I should have a PIN number which was not provided on the email, its seems like they are in cahoots with each other. refusing to return the money.

I searched Tru by Hilton and thought I was on their official website. I entered dates, chose room, and gave my credit card information. "Confirm Reservations" button popped up and I felt like something was fishy. I went to my laptop and went to Tru by Hilton and saw prices were different, only then did I realize I wasn't on the official Tru by Hilton website. I did NOT confirm but after returning to my phone from the laptop to exit the website, confirmation was already processed, WITHOUT my permission. I called and reached an outsourced customer service representative who sounded like they were in a bar and they refused to issue a refund. They said I agreed to terms...I would never agree to those terms with a week and a half out from my trip.

This scammer has my debit card information, pin, address, etc. I plan on canceling my debit card with my bank today.

I used Expedia to find a hotel, chose “The Island House Hotel, a DoubleTree by Hilton” from their website. I booked the hotel and once confirmed, a fee of $177.63 had been added for Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees that were not disclosed when booking the room. I immediately cancelled the room and received a cancellation; however, I never saw a refund. I called and I was told it was a non-refundable room… again, not disclosed when making the booking. I am out $515.59 because of this fraudulent company. Please let me know what I can do to pursue disputing this charge. They show hotelvalues.com, yet there does not appear to be any such site.

Mis represented themselves as Hyatt web site. This is a fraudulent company that tricks people into thinking they are booking directly with the hotel, and their reservation is NON REFUNDABLE. Moreover, the reservation amount is different than the total you saw on the website. And here is more fun - the phone number listed for cancellations is not a functioning number. This company is
a FRAUD!

Adding to my review below - I called the hotel the next day to confirm. The hotel had no record of my reservation and the confirmation number didn't match their numbers. Had to cancel the charges through my bank.

Booked the room unknowingly from Hotelvalues.com. we thought we were using the Hyatt website. Cancelation policy says you can't cancel at 10am EST. We canceled before 10am but they only refunded the taxes not the price of the room. They refused to allow me to speak to a manager. Do not use this company.

I thought that I was booking directly with Kauai Inn, Lihue Hawaii. I have booked and traveled all over via camper vans, Airbnb and directly through Hotels on occasion Expedia. Hotel Value.com made it appear that I was booking directly through the Kauai Inn, and charged double the original cost of the room as additional fees. It was a scam. I have never experienced such a bait and switch. The cost ended up being double what we had approved, the "Inn" was not what the picture indicated, and the reviews were obviously bogus. Due to our late plane arrival we were not open to canceling and trying to find another 1 night stay. I researched after we returned home 12/16/2022 and discovered similar experiences have been reported by others. I have attempted to reach them at 1-800-327-1200 without success. It seems to be a bogus operation and needs to be shut down ASAP. I am also suggesting a class action suit be filed.

Hampton Inn, Patriots Point, Charleston, SC, reservation number #R3687991696. I made a reservation on my phone mistaking this for the Hampton Inn website. There wasn't any mention of membership and fees, only a total of $254.34 for two nights. There wasn't a breakdown or a total for the stay until I put in all of my information and made the purchase. When I received my confirmation email it was for $778.16! I was really upset. We are on a fixed income and cannot afford this. We called the customer service and she was no help. The representative we spoke with was unapologetic and made it out to be my fault. They also will not let you talk to a manager either. We attempted to replicate the reservation to see all of the detail she claimed "I was aware of" on the page but dismissed the details, but no luck. She said they can not cancel the reservation because Holiday Inn would not let them. She did send an email to support and they were supposed to get back with me. They never did. The end result was I have a two day reservation for almost $800. They are liars and scam artists. I am not done with these people. I will dispute the charge. They should be ashamed of treating people like this, especially senior citizens on a fixed income.

As everyone noted above I too have been caught in their scam. They are charging $100 in service fees on a room that is $200 a night. And the website said free cancellation, free wi fi and you call to ask them about their fees and then cancellation and they say no cancellation! SCAM. BEWARE - call the hotel directly if possible. I'm fighting the charge now with my credit card company.

I thought I was booking direct with the hotel. I was then charged an additional AUD$314 in "taxes". I could not call a consultant to discuss this when I followed the prompts for those that had already booked but I could if I pressed prompts for new booking. I was then told that these were hotel fees (they weren't, I checked with the hotel), however they would refund me 10% as a goodwill gesture. I'm still waiting...

So I thought I was booking directly through Hilton head hotel in South Carolina, but it turns out that I booked through hotel values,. Anyways, what happened was, i was to travel on 7/1, I purchased the ticket but why after I purchased the ticket I got a confirmation email with a different date! After I saw the wrong date on the confirmation email, I called them immediately, but they wouldn’t canceled, They said that it was their policy. This company scammed me $306.
Please stay away from this company.

I was booking a hotel room and unfortunately used this website to do so. When I clicked on the hotel to book a room, several other booking companies popped up but I clicked on guest reservations instead which took me to this website that they have set up to look just like the real hotel website. The entire website showed "guest reservations" as the page I was on, but when I received my receipt I noticed the email was from hotelvalues.com. Of course, there is not a hotelvalues.com website if you try to find it. The only information you can find for contact is a phone number for customer service located on the receipt.

They charged over 50% of the hotel cost for THEIR fees, even though that is nowhere to be found when you register for your room and shows as a total Tax fee when your receipt is emailed to you. I called customer service to rectify the issue, but their customer service told me the fees were not for them but required by the hotel. So, I called the hotel, and not to my surprise, they stated they NEVER charge those fees. When I called customer service back to tell them they were lying about the extra fees and I confirmed that with the hotel, they just repeated the same scripted lies. Even though you see this over 50% tax fee charge when they email your receipt, it is too late according to them, to get a full refund because the "hotel" requires a cancellation fee. Again, NOT TRUE. The hotel does not require payment of one night plus tax if you cancel early, nor due they charge three times the room rate as a cancellation fee, which is what this company did. (Hotel room rate = $104 plus tax, hotelvalues.com charged $316 to cancel the reservation) Also, when I commented to the customer service rep that it was clearly a scam they were running, he started to yell at me on the phone and stated he was just so sorry that I was not smart enough to use their service. Companies that are legit, would not have customer service reps that respond to their customers that way.

My advice is to call the hotel to make your reservations from now on because companies like hotelvalues.com is not a service, it is a scam.

Fake website. Blow. They charge much more than the reservation. The value center responds that your reservation was not found, and the reservation number does not exist. They hang up the call.
