On May 24, 2024, I contacted The A Team Appliance Repair for a consultation to repair my dishwasher, for which I was quoted $80 (found them via google). When the technician arrived, I was required to sign off on a $280 + tax labor charge before he would even look at the machine. After dismantling my dishwasher, he incorrectly diagnosed the problem as a display panel issue, costing $439.20 + tax. Despite my initial indication that the problem was with the touch pad, the technician insisted on replacing the display panel. After two weeks (and me calling them to see where this part was), the technician returned on June 6, 2024 and confirmed that the issue was indeed with the touch pad (after replacing the display panel) as I had originally stated. I have now spent $812.70, and my dishwasher remains unfixed, with the repair company demanding additional payment for another part.

After calling to raise these issues with the customer service team (which the service was absolutely appalling), I've been told nothing can be done and no refund will be issued since I signed the invoice for their service fee.

Additional Concerns:

During the second visit, the technician arrived at 1:30pm before the agreed-upon window of 3-6pm. As I was unavailable to answer the door at that time, he proceeded to climb into my garden bed and knocked on my window to get my attention while I was working. This was highly unprofessional and intrusive. I reported this to the customer service team, and have not received resolution on this inappropriate conduct.
