We have been the victim of a very similarly structured scam before. Somebody pretends to be a client from out of town. They send you a washed check, in an incorrect amount, then ask for a partial refund to correct their mistake. Only for us to find out it was a bogus check. We were hit once, luckily did not lose money because our bank caught it. We get these fake leads all the time and I usually ignore them. But this came through YOUR site. So I thought you would be interested. I can forward the email to you if you would like to see it.
