I was approached for a job offer as virtual assistant by someone who claimed to be named Richard Cliff. We conversated through Microsoft teams and They sent me via email a form to fill out that asked for my personal information (SSN, checking account details, address, etc). They sent a check for “Supplies” via email and directed me to print it and mobile deposit it through my bank. That is when I learned of this scam and am now taking precautionary steps to avoid fraudulent activity, such as Identity theft and stolen funds. I have attached a photo of the email job offer.
