I had an issue with my airline booking information. I searched a number and called what I thought was the airline. This company said they were a "third party system that has been working in tandem with United Airlines." The representative walked through my issue, my flight information, and requested additional info as well as the card I used to initially make the booking. In hindsight I see that it was obviously a scam. But these companies prey on nervous, unsure travelers and take advantage of them.

I need to change my husband name on our ticket so i called westjet, but an agent who posed as a westjet person answered and changed the name and charged my credit card for the service that never rendered. I noticed it was fake when I received an email which is not from westjet. I called my credit card company to report and dispute the charge, also requested to cancel my card and issue a new one. The dispute is on going and I'm awaiting for an answer fr my card company.
