I received a call on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from a First Step Servicing representative stating that I owed Cash Net USA - a payday loan company $1,250. They were able to tell me former jobs I had, but not where I currently work. They had the address where I used to live. They told me that Cash Net USA was demanding past money from me and that this was going to go to court and I will be served. When I asked pertinent questions, like the year in question that I took the loan and the amount, etc., they said that they didn't have the information about when I supposedly took the loan. They had my social security number. Then because I kept asking them questions, they told me good luck and that the county was going to serve me and hung up.
