Phone call AAA Road Service 800 number by elderly parent is routed to overseas number, they insist that he sign up for service in order to get someone out to fix his car. They demand his bank routing number, which he provided. We ask for details of the call but all he can provide is their saying he needed to enroll in the service and something about their sending him a gift card to Walmart or something to that effect. No record of the transaction at all until a month later when a bill arrives and a copy of a check cashed by the bank (including a badly mispelled name and no signature except for the typed words "Authorized by customer") is retrieved by his kids.
