I was messaged, by name, about a property I haven't owned in over 10 years. It was a very vague message that would make most people contact them for clarification.

A 7:30pm a couple of days later, the hauler texted me and said the horses would be there around 11pm. I was not even aware that they had been picked up at what I thought was Renee's place. The horses arrived in the dark and we put them into their quarantine paddock with hay and water. The next few days, I figured out that these horses were not the stellar amazing horses that were listed on Renee's Facebook page. They were the same horses, but they were very scared of us and we couldn't do anything with them. One had a club foot and their hooves were in terrible shape. One horse was coughing and had yellow discharge from his nostrils. When I asked Renee about this, she was annoyed and said they weren't sick when they were "with her". She then told me she would be texting me the Coggins paperwork for both horses. She said the driver/hauler forgot to pick up the paperwork when he got the horses. After reading the Coggins paperwork, it was discovered that one of the horses was 18 years old and one was 10. Both horses were advertised as 10 years old. When I asked Renee about this, she said the vet lied and that they aged the horses at the lot at 10. The horse that was 18 was clearly an aged horse based on his teeth.
Since this event, I was forced to sell both horses. I had ESRD and was too fragile to be dealing with dangerous horses. Renee wouldn't give a refund, and PayPal wouldn't accept my dispute because I sent the money as "friends and family" instead of "Goods and Services". Renee knew this would happen, so she got to keep all of the money I sent. I had to sell the horses for a fraction of what I paid because of my health issues and because they weren't the horses I thought I was getting and Renee wouldn't take them back or do an exchange. I started a campaign to inform people of her scam, and have met a lot of people who have also been scammed by Renee and her friends. I filed a complaint with the AG of Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. I included Florida because this is where she actually lived. I also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for internet fraud.
