Booked flights through cheap air website and agreed to the price, gave my credit card and they confirmed booking. Told to select seats and discovered that the seats were an additional cost which was not explained before the flight booking was confirmed. Canceled booking right then on same connection and was charged a cancellation charge of $14.95. Bad enough that they don't tell you about seat cost on the front end but to charge a cancelation charge within the same session and within 1 to 2 minutes after booking confirmed seems a deceptive (scam) process.
