A caller pretending to be from "Express Update" contacted me from the number 402-836-4541. They asked me to confirm an address and a name and tried to make the call sound like a routine business-listing update. They asked questions designed to get me to say "yes." After checking online, I learned this is a known scam where callers impersonate Express Update to gather information and later send fake invoices. No sensitive information was given, but the call was misleading and appeared to be part of a business impersonation scam.

I work for a small business in Alberta, Canada. I have been called multiple times by this number from Nebraska (402 836 4486). I answer the phone and the other line is silent and than after about 30 seconds the call drops. It's very frustrating when I take a high volume of calls and I don't appreciate my time being wasted.

Answered, no response and disconnects. Called the number and recording stating the company name, and why they called and if you want to be removed from the list or stay on the line for a rep. Mike of the content feedback department answered and gave a company name /affiliated company. I explained that I received a call with silence and disconnect. I asked why I am receiving calls and disconnects, asked about the company, and why they are calling. He explained the company and why they called trying to update information for our company. I asked why did the previous caller not say all that when I answered instead of hanging up. He said it was an auto dialer that called. I asked to have our number removed from the autodialer. He said I would have to have the business owner email with this request. I asked for and physical address which he provided along with an email address. He said the letter would need to be signed and have our address information.

They called asking odd questions like name of business, how many employees, business owner ect. I answered without realizing I shouldn't have. Theyre a scam.

I did that too. Did anything happen after that?
