Type of a scam Investment

I was contact via messaging on Instagram by one of my followers David Williams. He started with small talk then asked me if I was interested in earning money by investing in bitcoin. I told him that I would be interested in learning more about it. He sent me a video to learn more and sent me the link to his company's platform (www.expertcapitaxbase.com) so I could create an account. He called me through Instagram to walk me through the steps on how to purchase the bitcoin through CashApp then send it to the wallet address so before transferring it to one of his employees. He said they do day trading and will monitor my account for me. He was on the phone with me the whole time and I was able to see when the funds showed available on his platform and he told me within a week I would see how much profit I made. Within a day or so, I saw that the account showed that I had made $4,000. David told me that once I reached the gold level, I could withdraw the money I made. After sharing this story with a friend, they indicated that it may have been spam so I should research further. After my research, I realized that David Williams was using someone else's photos named Xavier Marrero. I reported David's Instagram account after messaging him and informing him that I knew he was scamming me. The account has sent been closed. He was communicating with me on Google Chat as well so I messaged him asking for a refund and provided my CashApp information. I told him that if he didn't refund my money by today that I would take other actions. I can see that he is reading my messages but he isn't responding. I know that I won't get my money back but I hope that by reporting him and the company to ScamPulse.com that it will prevent someone else from getting scammed. I tried uploading images but it wasn't working. If there's an alternate way to do so I'd be happy to.

Can u tell me when this happened? In 2023 a very similar incident happened to me and a friend. Together, abt 2k was stolen. Also under the photo profile of X. Marrero. But introduced himself under a different name.
