Phone number came up as a local phone number on caller ID but he gave me 737-303-4487 as a callback number. He said he's Nelson Peter with Experian and someone opened credit cards in my name in TX. He said he would cancel them and I needed to respond to the link he texted me. When he said the credit limits were over 5k I knew it was a scam. He did have the last 4 numbers of my SSN.

Also one of my account had a request increase credit line of 2 Thousand dollars.

Another account, there was a charge 300.00 to Amazon.

There was suppose to be 4 accounts comprised.

He was going to put LifeLock on my accounts.

All I had to do was pay 299.00 for 12 months & total balances would be erased.

He mentioned a Bill in USA for people 54 yrs & over, living in the United States for protection from fraud.

Also, I had paid a large amount of money to interest, which should be 2%.

That I had paid my accounts correctly for 4 yrs.

I had paid over 4000.00 in interest.

He mentioned policy "DV 2005".

I was to call Experian at 315-961-4189.

He knew the 1st four numerals in each of the four accounts.

He also knew the amount that was refinanced on the house.

He made a mistake by saying my husband and I had an account together.

There was a lot of pausing, when asked him a question.

I received a call from someone identifying himself as Chris Marlin, Employee ID # VCN1185. He said that someone had tried to open a credit card using my social security number (which he had), and wanted to know if I did that (which I didn't). He then asked me to verify a list of other credit cards. He said my credit report was frozen now and would be under investigation. Tried to transfer me to a supervisor (Andy Solomon) who referenced the same phone number. I hung up several times and they kept calling me back, except the incoming number was not the number they gave.

Someone claiming to be David Parker called me, he said he worked for Experian and that they would be getting rid of all of my credit card debt because I always paid my bill on time and because I was a senior citizen. He knew my full name, address, and my social security number.  He asked me for my credit card numbers. I told him I did not have them on me and he asked me to call him back at 800-211-7915 ext.DP8001.

I was looking up information on refinancing my home and how to open a line of equity, I went on several different websites and put in the last four digits of my social security number.  This morning I got a call from a man claiming to work with Experian and he told me he could help.  He already knew the last four digits of my social and the exact amount of money I was trying to get out of the equity of my house.  He asked me for my complete social security number, I was leary of giving him that info. He sent me a text with information about Phising Scams and that made me think he was legitimate so I did give him my social security number.

On January 7, 2022 my 80 yr old Mom received a call from someone saying they were from Experian & Discover Card contacted them regarding possible fraud.

They had her Bank Card numbers then proceeded to get her to give up her pins #s, email & password as well as her VOICE & SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.

WE HAD TO CONTACT ALL HER BANK & CREDIT CARDS TO CANCEL THEM, CHARGES WERE ALREADY ATTEMPTED, THEN REPORTED IT TO THE FTC, FBI, SOCIAL SECURITY.

HAD TO CHANGE HER PASSWORDS & UPON NEW CARDS BEING ISSUED NEW PIN #s.

Asked if wanted to lower interest rates on one of my credit cards seemed to know which ones I had. When I asked who they were (hard to understand her accent) sounded like experian. I asked what information they wanted she said information off my card. I told her I wasn’t going to give her my credit card information over the phone she argued with me quite vehemently. Then after that she asked me why did I fill out the application to lower my rates I stated I never did and she wasn’t getting the information she hung up.

Phone number 214-235-4425. Guy called and said he was with Experian and could lower my interest rate. Then he started asking details on my cards. I ask for a number I could call back to verify his company. He continued asking for the expiration date on one of my cards. I asked him for his card information and he hung up on me.
