The Owner of Evans Glass Block is **** ***** and he stole my $500 deposit! I contacted Mick on 4/19/2022 & he agreed to measure my home for glass block windows, which he did on 4/20/2022. On 4/22/2022, he texted saying that he needed more measurements, which he got on 4/26/2022. I paid him $500 via Cashapp on 4/28/2022 because we agreed that he would do the work on 5/3/2022 but on 5/2/2022 he cancelled due to rain and agreed to do the work on Monday 5/9/2022 at 10am. He was a no call/no show, however; someone by the name of ***** called saying that he spoke to **** and **** told him to come get more measurements. I let ***** know that this would be the third set of measurements and **** confirmed that installation would take place today 5/9/2022. After the conversation with *****, both Mick and ***** refused to answer any of my calls or text messages. I filed a Police Report with the Detroit Police Department the same day on 5/9/2022 and I was shocked when the Detective called me on 5/12/2022. The Detective immediately called **** and he actually lied and said that I cancelled the job and that he planned to eventually give me back my money. The Detective told him that he had one week to return my money or a Warrant would be issued for his arrest. He actually sent my $500 back via Cashapp on 5/19/2022.
