Warning – this medical billing company bills for fraudulent charges!

They go by the names of Envision Physician Services, Starlight Inpatient Services, Envision Healthcare Corporation, Corporation Service Company, and other names.

One of the headlines in a June 2022 article about them read “Physicians would rather leave than work for Envision, doctor says”. Physicians object to Envision over concerns of lower pay and staffing levels leading to lower quality of care. Envision declined immediate comment.

Although some of their billing charges are legit, they mix in some other higher cost CPT/HCPCS Codes in their billings that are not backed by supporting documentation. I challenged some of these in writing and requested copies of the supporting documentation. What I got was a letter stating “Your medical record was reviewed by a Certified Professional Coder and the review determined that the level of service was coded and billed correctly”. They did not supply any documentation as I had requested.

While I was hospitalized for two weeks, the medical person(s) who were said to have provided services to me, never visited me. Nor was I ever notified they were behind the scenes in some office racking up charges. Some of these charges are outrageous, especially the use of CPT Code 99233 (fabricated to increase their revenue). I have sent them four letters asking for justification for their excessive charges and all I get is their billing clerk saying the codes are correct.

They are threatening me again with collections. It is now time to file official complaints against them for fraud, malpractice, and underhanded billing practices. The agencies I will use include FTC, CMS, AMA, and the California AG. Plus, I will post this warning to others on multiple social media sites. These people are criminals!

I got an invoice from Envision stating FINAL BILLING, WILL BE TURNED OVER FOR COLLECTION. When I delved into the invoice, it listed services from a Doctor. When I looked up this doctor, I found 2 phone numbers. One was to a medical clinic, who stated they'd never heard of this doctor. Second number was to a RENTAL CAR AGENCY! How lame can they get?

I am from Canada. Got sick and was treated at a hospital and my insurance paid for all my bills, but I still got a text from them asking me to login in to my account to see what I owed them. I figured it was a scam right off so just deleted the text and blocked them. Why a text and not a physical bill in the mail? That would have been more believable.

They are also trying via emails.

I was contacted by this scam company. They knew what hospital I visited. But its a very vague email. Contains no association with me. I believe people are getting scammed because the site requires you to put your name and date of birth to confirm the amount. Not to confirm you to a visit to any Dr. Once you put your name, they will put you with the amount. I called the hospital where I was scene. I owe nothing. And the amount in the email was inaccurate to the bill I received. Which was completely covered by my insurance.
