They kept messaging me about the job and what to expect from here on out. They asked for my SSN, and a picture of the front and back of my drivers license.
After discussing all of the products that they would be sending me (camera, laptop, mic headset, software), they sent an electronic check to deposit to my bank. After it submitted, I called the bank to ask for a confirmation. She then told me that the check was a fraud check.
I then reflected and realized that this was a fake company. They were disorganized, they used different fonts in the email, the offer letter looked messy and unprofessional, they were very pushy in the messages ALL day. They never even asked me “is this a good time to talk?”.
