I just spoke with a customer who came in to report a website that is a scam site representing Idaho Power. He searched ‘Idaho Power’ in his Google Search Engine and right below Idaho Power’s legit website this appeared in the sponsored results. He ended up clicking accidentally on the contact us under ‘energexespower.com’ and it pulled up a screen that showed our Idaho Power brand with a contact number. Once he called that number, they tried to solicit him to pay his balance due – which he thought he had already paid and was trying to confirm. When he told them ‘no’, they hung up on him and called him back from a Nevada (spoof) number.
